Which Star Wars line do you consider the most memorable? And which lines do you wish the characters would say, either to make the story better OR simply for pure amusement! *L* The most FAMOUS line has got to be "May the force be with you!" Another very famous one: "Luke...I am your father." Those lines have spilled out of the Star Wars universe and become part of popular culture. People that don't really know or particularly like Star Wars still know those lines and where they come from, just like everyone knows Darth Vader is Luke's father. (Hard to believe that there was ever a time when people were lining up in 1980 waiting to get in to see The Empire Strikes back not yet knowing the revelation at the end, and how it would become a slice of "classic" cinema.) Star Wars has a lot of good, memorable lines and a lot of cheesy lines (particularly in the prequels): "I don't like sand. Sand is coarse and gets in everywhere. Not like you...You're everything soft and smooth." certainly comes to mind.;) What are your favorite good lines and cheesy lines in the Star Wars movies, and what would you find AMUSING to hear? For example, Yoda giving Luke some wise advice: "Small in stature I may be...But a munchkin I am not!" *L* (Ok, this example's perhaps a bit lame  , but some of you probably have better ideas.) And also, is there any dialogue you would put in if you were George Lucas that would actually enrich the saga?

Loved most anything Han Solo had to say:
"We're fine, all fine down here...How are you? *Blasts console* "It was a boring conversation anyway. Luke! We're gonna have company!"
"Either I'm gonna kill 'er or I'm beginning to like her!
"Great Chewie! Always thinking with your stomach!"
"Hey...it's me..."
Loved it in ANH when he was chasing the the stormtroopers hollering *Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!* and then his 'huh?' look and sudden stop when he runs into a whole battalion and a hasty retreat!
There's more lines I love, but this'll do for now.

I have been known to reply to someone with that devlish smirk, "Yes, your worshipfulness!" *grins* 's my favorite one to use.
Of course, I've done a couple little Yoda impressions in my voice chat nights on Yahoo. ;-) "There is no do, only try!"

My two favourite lines:
"But I was going to Tosche station to pick up some power converters!"
and
Han: "Don't get excited."
Leia: "Captain, being held by you isn't quite enough to get me excited."
Han: "Sorry, sweetheart, haven't got time for anything else"

I think the most memorable line to me is in the Original Star Wars:

my favorite line, and tagline, will always be Princess Leia to Han Solo:
"I am NOT a committee".
and of course
"When 900 years old you are, look as good you will not" Yoda to Luke - I can certainbly relate to that one

thanks Tribble  I just watched the original Trilogy this past weekend (probably for th 47th time) while unpacking boxes and the lines are just as great/funny/entertaining as they were the first time. Odd that I find myself "doing the dialogue" with the characters. Guess its better than talking to myself - but I still havn't learned to speak Wookie

Two lines, both spoken by Darth Vader:
"Commander, tear this ship apart until you've found those plans, and bring me the passengers, I want them alive!"
and the second line, one which was spoken with such malevolence (you could really see that he was p*ssed off) was:
"Bring my shuttle"
But unfortunately this line was replaced in the Special Edition of Empire with the wimpy "Inform my Star Destroyer of my arrival." It was redone due to the new CGI version of Bespin, and the previous line was too short for the new scene that had been created. It wasn't even done well - GL had used another actor to redo the line, and it sounded pathetic.
Some of the others that come close to being memorable are lines by C3PO, especially "Well don't blame me - I'm an interpreter. I'm not supposed to know a power socket frrom a computer terminal!"
A fantastic line to use when anyone is annoying you, and this can be used in most situations is:
"The ability to speak does not make you inteligent. Now get out of here."
And thats my two bits.
