Wonder why people are addicted to Cheese??? Or why Porthos on Enterprise is such a cheese addict??? Well some doctor figured it out!
http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_788258.html
Dr Neal Barnard, president of the Physicians Committee on Responsible Medicine, says cheese is addictive because it contains small amounts of morphine from cows' liver. In his book - Breaking the Food Seduction: The Hidden Reasons Behind Food Cravings and Seven Steps to End them Naturally - he explains why people are hooked on products like cheese, meat, sugar and chocolate.
He says: "There's a biochemical reason many of us feel we can't live without our daily fix. Cheese, for example, contains high levels of casein, a protein that breaks apart during digestion to produce morphine-like opiate compounds, called casomorphins. These opiates are believed to be responsible for the mother-infant bond that occurs during nursing. It's no surprise many of us feel bonded to the refrigerator."
Dr Barnard says his research could help overweight people currently suing fast food restaurants, by proving the food is addictive like tobacco. This 'genius', or motivational therapist, developed already well-known techniques...but specifically, his secret is in a three-week diet and lifestyle program to help people kick their 'addiction' by changing their eating habits, exercising and sleeping well...what a genius!
Dierna note: WOOHOO! Im addicted to Morphine!! I put Morphine on my food!! WOOHOO! *runs to the fridge and eats a slice of cheese* mmm... Morphine...

Cheese doesn't need to be addictive it's tasty!
Besides the cheese in fast food restaurants isn't cheese at all

"Fast food restaurants"? Isn't that a contradiction in itself?
...excuse me while I run away to hide from the wrath of certain people.
Yeah, when people come out with stuff like that you know that someone has way too much time on their hands and is getting paid for it... =P
"This guy told me that exercising, sleeping well, and eating healthy food will help me lose weight and become healthier! What a genius! See, I only need this book, and this DVD, and..."
Oh yes.

Oh, if that's the definition, right!
I was told that eating too much spinach makes your eyes water.

First, I claim I never read that thread, and I blame Hobbie for that post appearing out of nowhere.
I feel very much bonded to my fridge, it's so full of good things.
And I will quote something a very wise person once said to me: "Eating in Fast Foods is faster...."
I'm so tot.

I, further, deny pressing Ray to read this thread. And, if I did, then Hobbie is to blame.
And I'm going to stop talking typing (not talking... stopping talking is impossible. ) now, so as to not incriminate myself further than "Iain is twice as guilty as he is; repeat".

Hmm also that you'd get all strong like Popeye
Why they thought being hairy chested and looking like an old sailor would be attractive to a girl I don't know, but I certainly don't eat spinach (mainly because it tastes horrible)

Iain, I hate you!
Ray, as long as that's your fridge you're talking about, not one you chased down a while back, I'll let that pass.
And yes, hence why they're called fast food re... oh. I hate you! See if I help you make a decision again... you can stand beside the bike for all eternity or until you starve!
I guess the latter is far more likely, unless eternity now only lasts about a day...

No, it wasn't Ray's fridge!
And no one should eat me... seriously... it's not good. Not good at all. I'm bitter.
