I am notorious for starting stupid forum games that go like mad for three days and then mysteriously die a sad death (see the Adventures of Polson, Nicoll and the David). But if at first, second and third you don't succeed, make everyone else around you miserable - with another forum game! Yay!
Maybe it's just me, but I find the things people keep on their desk to give interesting insight into their inner working. So, here's the scoop. List ten things sitting on your desk at home or at work, or whatever space you use as a desk. Try to go with the more unusual items and feel free to lump things together (i.e. I have two cartoon comic books on my desk - Garfield and Bloom County). Okay?
So, my desk is a mess right now, but we'll see if I can find something good.

What do I have on my desk? Ok, let's see.....
1) My pencil collection from Japan
2) Old letters from my past kept for sentimental reasons
3) An essay that I stole and kept when I was a sections editor on our HS yearbook and a foreign exchange student wrote and submitted telling how the US differed from her home in China.
4) Copies of articles I've had published in the university newspaper
5) Baby pictures of my godson
6) A reproduced, scaled down copy of a portrait my grandmother painted many many years ago
7) a broken antique pocket watch that was a gift to my father from his father
8) The latest copy of the Victoria's Secret catalogue that I can't afford to buy anything from *sobs* and an old copy of a Sephora catalogue.
9) A flower arrangement that my mother designed is hanging on the wall above my desk
10) A few books (Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Writer's Market 2003, Holistic Approach to Caring For Your Dog, and the Dog's Drugstore)
11) All my cat rescue work including articles on Trap-Neuter-Return programs and a box of PR brochures, bumper stickers, window decals, etc. that Ally Cat Allies sent me to start a community outreach program to limit the number of kittens born in our area and hopefully decrease the number of cats and kittens euthanized in animal shelters each year. I admit that I've done little with this program, and will probably try to give the materials to one of my friends who works at a vet clinic or my friend who is the proprietor of a local pet supply and gift retail store.
12) CDs: Ashlee Simpson's Autobiography; Lindsay Lohan's Speak; and various music samples from one of my favorite coffee shops that hosts live performances from local musical artists

My desk is very small and the bulk of the space is my monitor and speakers, but let's see what else is on here....
1) Olay, Lotion.
2) Two bottles of Bath & Body Works Instant Hand Sanitizer.
3) A tall bottle from Vegas filled with M&M's, yes a momento from the 99' Vegas Union, I've had it all this time, and it's ALWAYS been on my desk.
4) A MyHomeDiscount.com pen.
5) A love letter from Craig.
6) A BEAUTIFUL Valentine's Day card from Craig.
7) My savings account information printed out, with various passwords and such written on it.
8) A pink "Gin and Bare It!" Coaster.
