So I'm not much of a forum-goer here on OTF, but I used to be on other websites.
I think both sides present a valid point. I never saw the initial thread that was locked and apparently caused this (now rather off-topic ) one. It is interesting, Hal, that you should bring up the issue of free expression over the internet, when that is being questioned and violated all over the place these days.
Debate, as people have said before me, is not only an essential part of relationships, it is an essential part of humanity. We learn through many methods, one of which is argument. Exposing ourselves to opposing points of view enriches us mentally, and psychologically.
Whether the topic be something as simple as green being a superiour colour to blue or whether gay marriage should be legalised, diversity in one's mind is crucial. We don't all want to become simple and closed-minded.
...End of my schpeal. Honestly.
P.S. Green IS better than blue.

I like Jess. She's a clever one.
Alas, however, I prefer blue.

When it comes to lightsabers, green is much cooler than blue. If only we could change the sky to green...
Although, red is me favorite color over all. Werd.

Purple lightsabers are better.
And I prefer blue over green, black over blue.

I'm so very confused by all this.
To all the kids out there: DON'T move to another country. You'll be so totally out of the loop OTF-wise, afterwards.
Back to usual business now, anyone?

Pfft, being out of the loop OTF-wise wouldn't stop me moving elsewhere if I so wished.
In fact, I'm going to move to Peru. Right now.

Hmm, I hear you guys on letting a thread come to its conclusion. I gues all us old tired ECers are quick to head off what we we see as yet another heated discussion wot wot?
And as always, let me repeat myself once again, if you have any suggestions/complaints bring it to your lovely and lovelier SCs and DSCs as it will be much more effective that way and hopefully, won't generate as much noice lol

And Kayana, in fairness, a heated discussion isn't the same as an insult match or a free-for-all which violates rules, is it? I think that's what some people - I'm not saying you! - don't get. Most discussions are going to be heated, if people care about what's being discussed. Which they usually do, because otherwise they'd hardly bother discussing it.
