I wanted a a poll but that Iain is SO lazy! 
Anyway, it's been a while now and I'm still thinking I prefer the yellow Rank: in chat. It could just be that I'm so dang used to it, but everyone looks naked to me in chat. Any thoughts? Comments? Concerned about being naked?

When I first noticed they were gone I also wondered why? I still don't quite understand it. It doesn't give anything new to the chatroom or make it look any better.
I guess I am just so used to it too. The rank, as a part of a user's details in chat, needs to stand out from the normal chat-text and taglines, or else just get rid of it altogether.

I agree, I liked it better when it stood out as well. We had a discussion in the Senate about that a while back, and decided to revert back to the old system at least for the CCC. I wanted to ask the other genres what they wanted to do before letting Iain work his magic but didn't get around to it yet.
I have to admit I'm curious about what everyone thinks on this, though.

I prefer it the way it was, to be honest. Didn't notice that much of a difference, but I like the yellow... makes it stand out more, somehow, 's not just a part of the colour scheme like IP and timestamp.

My opinion is known (at least in the Senate) - I still miss the old Rank:
If the old ST-rooms yellow is considered too bright (which is the reason they gave I think), the old CCC-colour is perfect imho
Oh Hobbie, and I stopped poking you just because I didn't want to annoy you... too much

I like Majin's idea. Especially because we're talking on the other thread about getting rid off the ranks, so what's the point in moaning about the color of something that will cease to exist in the near future anyway?
Logic, I love it.
But then, we won't be getting rid off the ranks, so poo.

I don't care if my rank is invisible. But I like the yellow "Rank:". It just looks nice. That's all this is about.
And if Shane doesn't like my thread about how much I miss the yellow "Rank:"  he can take his escape pod somewhere else!

The word "Rank" wasn't yellow. Only the rank was.

Actually, I don't mind the threads (which is why I was first to reply here ), but it seems that in every single one of them we're just repeating ourselves... and I'm really tired of that.
And I can't take my escape pod somewhere else. It's set on auto-pilot for when the universe implodes.
