What are you looking forward to most in 2008? Any resolutions?

Me, I'm looking forward to several things:
1. My best friend is marrying my cousin. This means he will stop spending every spare second at my house and I don't have to watch them snuggle anymore. I love Sonj but dude. Enough is enough.
2. I will finish my weight loss late 2007/early 2008 for a total, hopefully, of 94 pounds. I am soooo excited to go shopping.
3. A new job. I refuse to work at Peavey Mart any longer than I have to.
4. Maybe telling the boy I like that I like him. Maybe.
5. My friend Bethany is moving in to take Sonja's place, and my sister might move in also!

My resolutions:
1. Finish my weight loss and keep it off!
2. Pay off my mastercard and my debt to mom and dad and my sister.
3. Save up to buy a new car so I can stop getting stranded.

In 2008?

I'm looking forward to several new movies: Iron Man, Indiana Jones 4, and The Dark Knight.
I'm also looking forward to graduating with my bachelor degree and earning my black belt in Taekwondo.

As for resolutions? I've long ago resolved to never make any more resolutions. Sorry.

*l* I've never really done resolutions myself. Those are more just things I intend to accomplish, they just coincide nicely with the timing of the new year.

I think making resolutions for the sake of making them is like making an insincere "to do list".

I like to put things on my to do list that I've already done. Then I can cross them off and feel good about it.

I am going to ask Polson to marry me. Go me! Well... no time like the present and now you know i am planning to there is no point waiting until 2008. Polson, wanna get married and run off to Vegas? Yes? No? Probably going to be no...

Anywho. Now that Polson doesn't want to get married - anyone else interested?

Ahem. Anyway. Resolutions...

1. Go to Israel.

2. Lose some weight (everyone says this every year but we never do it) because my arse is too big.

3. I should probably stop sleeping with my dog and get an actual girlfriend. My dog is a girl. But she doesn't count. But women piss me off, sooo... yeah, idunno, the dog is cheaper and she is very cuddly. I might just stick with the dog.

My main goals are to get out of debt, get my license, get a car, lose weight, and live on my own again.

*lmao@Pols* hehehehhe

Resolutions? Heh, I don't have any, I'm pretty happy the way I am. There are things I want, things I wonder about but I'm feeling a bit chicken about trying out new changes!

I guess my revolution is to do more for charity. It's something I've been saying for years but I've never gone through with it. I want to do something meaningful, the only problem is I'm not sure what.

Kay...you know I've been pondering that very issue. I sponser a child through world vision but I've been eyeing up some of their other programs and I think that what I want to do is save up some money and donate it to some of their gift programs like giving hens or pigs to families, or birthing kits for mothers, or sponser some women to be educated, or buying birth regristires for children so they can have civil rights in their countries, stuff like that. It's an idea anyway.

Gosh darn it, I shall go against the grain and put on weight, I shall eat cake and stuff with ketchup.

I shall also marry David Tennant.

Perhaps there might even be chicken sandwiches.

My resolution is to complete my associates degree. And I would love to take a vacation to Ireland! Yeah that would be nice.

Oh yeah. Make E-5 in the US Navy, AND make Lieutenant Commander in OTF!

Congrats Korny!!

Pols, I am actually looking for a local charity I can give to in London as it would be nice to see what I'm giving to - perhaps a food kitchen? hmm.

My other big thing is to actually send out all the Christmas cards I've been planning to!

1. Have a real honest-to-goodness birthday. With stupid streamers and cake. I haven't had a real birthday in years. And, dangit, I'm going to!
2. Keep up this fabulous GPA I have going.
3. Apply for that language program. Even if I think I have no way in hell of getting in.
4. Go to Edinburgh. Meet Iain's Dad and make an agreement with him in regards to heat/air conditioning.
5. Go to Seattle to see the brother-figure. Make him go with me to Portland.
6. Continue volunteering at the Good Samaritan's House, starting in January.

Yup, that's what I'm looking forward to! Yay!

I was Intent on getting a less dangerous Job/Jobs but i like the danger =(

1. Shave more often. honestly I barely keep my beard trimmed. =( Its harder work keeping a beard than not.

2. Actually go to one of my classes for once. I do enjoy passing all my exam and by only going to the first 3 weeks worth of classes but i'm bound to slip up sooner or later.

3. Make more people listen to my radio show.

4. Take up a bad habit. I'm lacking in one that I can openly flaunt like smoking. etc =(

Resolutions, eh?

1. Stop going to the gym.
2. Start smoking.
3. Put on weight.
4. Eat more junk food and less vegetables.
5. Stop giving other people money.
6. Find a guy who doesn't really care all that much, never buys flowers or gifts, is never on time, flirts with other women, and has no intention of marrying me. Ever.

Hah, how cliche. In reality, I want to:

1. Graduate, with good grades, and make it into the anthro postgrad course.
2. Stop just waiting for life to happen. Seize the day, as it were.
3. Enjoy the summer. I mean really enjoy it. The last one sucked.
4. Get (a lot) better at self defence and maybe take up a martial art.
5. Celebrate my 21st with all the lads from college, once we're done with exams.

Ah. I'm not very good at resolutions. Mostly I'm just going to keep going the way I am, really. But that's what I'm looking forward to.

Ok first post on here in a while...like 6months woah, anyway festive time and all so resolutions.

I'm not going for the major ones like quit smoking, stop eating unhealthy food because I know i ain't going to stick to them so why lie the almighty resolution keeper, he already knows I'll fail. Ok so firstly I want to do more with my kid's, were close already but I want to make sure I plan fortnightly day's out, whether its taking them to zoo out to the park, at least once I'll take them over to Ireland to see my mum. Second thing would have to be, do the dishes...not to much but at least once a month to cheer up Karen if i did it more than that she's accuse me of abducting myself. Finally, I reckon making sure I hit all my goals freelancing so I don't have to return to one of those 9-5jobs, if possible bother to finish my CiW (Specialist Qualification In web design, Programming & Team Management) as that's costing me a fortune and I aint bothered to look at it.

Well thats mine done, now let's see if i can break em before the 2nd

5. Seriously look into that Master's degree I want to do and maybe even apply!

I plan to:

1-get married! yay finally lol
2-go back to work I so suck at being a stay at home mom (cheers to all who do though )
3-actually celebrate my birthday instead of dreading the usual suckyness of how it normally turns out

As for resolutions....i've never managed to keep one yet so why start now lol instead how about 'I resolve to be happier this year' vague enough that i may even manage it lol

Do birthday's just suck all around? I have a sneaky suspicion that they do. I think I've had one great birthday in the past six years, a couple so-so ones and some real rotters.

I kinda like my birthdays, especially when I can get rid of the kids and have a nice meal with the husband.

I will make the varsity lacrosse team captain and become the head of set crew for the school play this year. I will also try really hard to get my first A+ in Latin, although that probably won't happen.
