It's because you've switched to summer time, so you should be UTC -6 now.
A good way to figure it out, if you're not sure, is to compare the time on the main page to your computer clock. It's not very complicated maths. =(

Iain, may I say congrats on someone using common sense finally? I mean, even after all these years at otf, otf time ment nothing to me. So yay, and dont worry, alot of us are used to Iain speak so we could follow most of it.
Here's condiments in your eyes!

I think the problem you have is that you are already on summer-time, so you have to add another hour to the offset.
If I think in the correct direction, you turned the clocks back one hour, and if you are -7 then you currently are at -8.
I'm GMT+1 so I think once I change to DST I'll be exactly UTC ... I hope.

PS: Note to self: Check if there is a second page already before posting. However, I believe I am right with -8 and Hobbie is wrong ... if you are 7 hours behind and turn another one back it should be -8 not -6

Hobbie is right. Soka will end up (with DST) on UTC+0200 (ie: UTC+0100 + 0100). And, Polson is currently on UTC-0600 (UTC-0700 + 0100). ~Iain

Hobbie, my computer's compare time is GMT. Always has been.
And you have all confused me greatly. I will just not know what time it is in OTF.

* From March - September, add 6 hours to your time to get the time in OTF. (With timezone.pl, your offset is "-6 hours".) * From September - March, add 7 hours to your time to get the time in OTF. (With timezone.pl, your offset is "-7 hours".)

Now that I know that I'm -8 GMT for right now, due to DST and whatnot, I think I can actually manage the converter.

Seriously, at first I was confused too, but if you're smart (which yes, Polson, you're smart ), you can just look at your computer's clock, then look at the current time/hour in OTF, find the difference, and there ya go. I think someone mentioned that above.
For me, it's 2210 about (10:10 pm), and 610 in the chat, so I'm 8 hours behind UTC.

So, I'm not going to lie. This entire thread makes me entirely giddy. Especially Iain's random interjections where he converts people's times for them in DST and not DST. *giggles* Fantastic! Keep it up!

I'd say that I'm much more in favour of German values than British ones, but there's a bad precedent there somewhere, I'm sure of it.
Alas!
