This isn't a real Intell topic but I noticed people talking about coding and web building in the chat.
Some are new to coding, some aren't but perhaps this will help you anyway.
These are some of my favourite tools and everyone is welcome to add his own favourites.
w3school - This is an awesoem collection of references and tutorials on web building. You'll find anything from html to php!
My favourite html editor on Windows is Expression Web This makes only sense if your can get it from a friends or if your at college/University via the MSDNAA for free.
Free html editors I recommend: Komodo Edit and Coffee Cup.
NetBeans ist my favourite open-source Integrated Development Environment for c/c++ and php, Ruby and Java are supported as well as Python.
To access your webspace via FTP I recommend FileZilla
