This message came across my university email today, and i thought i'd post it here in case any of your universities/organizations have been or may be subject to the same type of attack.
"Information Technology has received a number of reports regarding computer viruses sent by email to university account holders. If you have received the following examples, please delete them immediately: email from "invitations @ twitter.com" with the subject "Your Friend Invited you to Twitter" including an attachment titled "invitationcard.zip" Email from "resume-thanks @ google.com" with the subject "Thank You From Google!" including the attachment titled "cv-20100120-112.zip" E-card notices from "e-cards @ hallmark.com""
As a precaution, never trust email with attachments from someone you don't know and never open zip files you are not expecting to receive.
