Xbox Gaming News

Big news in the world of Xbox! There's a new thing coming out called Project Natal!! It's a brand new product that's rumored to take the Nintendo WII right out of the picture of the gaming word! You control the movements like a WII but with NO controller! Definitely this is huge news in the Xbox world! Personally, and this is just me, I can't wait for this thing to come out.

In the way of games for this..... Project Natal.. Seems to be pre-set motion games, things like fighting games, racing, kid games and just over all hands-free controlling. For example... instead of using your controller to scroll through items.. You simply wave your hand to the side, like telling a friend to move over to the side to get out of the way of something.

For examples of what I'm explaining... go to http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/projectnatal/ and watch the video. It really is an amazing thing to watch, I personally believe it's a huge jump in video gaming. And with Project Natal being a PLUG-IN item.. Think of the money you'll save on things like... BATTERIES or Battery Charging ports.

As Halo continues to dominate the Xbox scene. They've reached out with one more game called HALO : REACH. The multiplayer for it has become one of the biggest talked about things on Xbox Live. I personally love the new ASSASSINATION thing they got where your character jumps on the other and stabs with a knife. Really nifty in my book. Some have said that it looks like a version of Unreal Tournament came back to life. I almost agree however it looks alright to me.

Skate boarding lives on as a new game named Skate 3 grabs their boards and takes to the streets! In this game you can hook up with your friends over Xbox live and skate together in one area. Now I'm not big into skating, personally I'm more of a wrestling fan. However I can't wait to buy this game and try it out myself. I can only hope that everyone tries this game out! I think it looks like fun!

Just don't play games that rely on Natal, matey. No publisher in their right mind is going to stop producing games that work with the standard controllers.

I think Natal is just going to be another gimmick (Sony EyeToy, anyone?) to tide us over until some real breakthrough motion-capture devices emerge. At best, it'll appeal to a niche market of gamers and won't be widely used by the harcore console gamers.

In other news - just finished Alan Wake this evening. What an amazing game. Gonna play through again on Hard and Nightmare modes for the last couple of achievements. And MW2 "Resurgence"? Gimme a break. With a name like that, you can expect at least 2 more remakes of original Modern Warfare maps, and nothing worth 1200 of your MS Points. Exactly the same as the ripoff that was "Stimulus".

I was among the first to jump on that particular bandwagon, and all it stimulated was my gag reflex. Over 900 hours on that game and I hate it more and more every day.

Let's see if Treyarch can do a better job with Black Ops than Infinity Ward did with Modern Warfail 2.

Edit: Halo: Reach is going to be amazing. This coming from an avid Halo-hater. Can't wait.

You're right, it does, and it's all the better for it. Been playing the beta a bit recently and thoroughly enjoying it.

I agree, its a gimmik for the rich and the rich only. they have masssive houses with massive rooms to play around in.
And basically theyre trying to fill in those gaps in those mansions they have.

Natal requires the full body to be visual.
There lies its first mistake in my opinion, how many gamers out there in their cramped university rooms have enough room to play a full game standing up? i could imagine one gamer kicking out with his leg and accidently smashing their TV, and i can also imagine another person joining the fray and causing a little confusion with the natal device.

The games for the xbox are predominatly not family freindly orientated, this is why the Wii was so successful, its games are for family for playing in the living room, xbox games are predominatly for playing anyway in any room ,usually hidden away in your own bedroom.

Yes, it's a public beta for people who own Halo 3: ODST, which I assume you don't as you don't own a console.

No. I still need to finish it on Hard and Nightmare for the last few achievements. And since you don't have an Xbox, what you gonna use it for? A paperweight?

MW2 Resurgence pack is confirmed to have 2 maps from COD4 - Strike and Vacant.

Way to suck, Infinity Ward. Way to suck.

Project Natal continues to be the buzz of Xbox Live as people talk continuously about how they're going to buy this! Word is "on the streets" or allow me to rephrase... "On the live" that Project Natal is moving along faster than planned. Although no data seems to be on Xbox.com to confirm this it seems to be the deal.

Alan Awake starts to hit our consoles hard with it's release in mid-to-late may nationwide it has already made some people talk highly of it.
The story starts off with Alan Wake, a story-writer who's lost his flow, and his wife Alice go to a small town to try to recover said creative flow. Soon, Alan starts to notice the characters he wrote about from his last novel coming to life! How will it end? Only the gamers will know!

Halo – Halo Reach Multiplayer Invitation has ended as of May 19th 2010... it shall be missed... =(
Never to Fear! The Master Chief makes his return in the upcoming Halo game named "Halo Reach"! This Fall... it's time for the Covenant to go running..
- - Halo Reach Legendary and Collector's Edition announced and ready for pre-order on xbox.com

IMAC Gamer?? – The Macintosh Computer... nicknamed IMAC will soon be starting it's own gaming software and games! How will this affect the Gaming World? How will it fare in the US Economy? Only time will tell..

Fable III – Late 2010 Fable will release it's third edition into the gaming world. John Cleese.. As we know from the classic Monty Python "And now... for something completely different.." will be the butler known as Jasper. Fable of course is continuing it's run of Action-Role-Playing-Game and I personally hope that it all fares well.

CALL OF DUTY – Black Ops = Releases on November 9th. What is to be expected of this game? Only the best! The players take control of character Black Ops in the time setting of the cold war! Only the best comes from a game series that is PROVEN to be the BEST SELLER of Military Men and Women around the world.

(In fact last night I lost BADLY to a chick that was beautiful and played COD! I'm both embarrassed and okay with it... PS don't tell my mother...)

Being exceptionally British and boring, I'd love a cricket game for the Kinect.

That would make me giddy.

# Posted: 19 Aug 2010 12:23

I am just glad that I have an XBOX360 already...If I had to buy Kinect I would throw it out of the window right away. Not in a million years would you see me using that kind of stuff.

Just like the Wii, or that Eyetoy from sony...or the new Move from Sony. Fun for parties, but that's where it ends...and I hate parties.

It is allowed to place criticism ight?

# Posted: 30 Aug 2010 01:35

Criticism is alright. Just keep it "family appropiate" =)

If you want to go past the "family appropiate" you can email me and I'll help you out. =)
