People were wanting tougher questions, so this one is a little trickier. If you re-watch the movie, you will notice that the person in question's name is mentioned VERY frequently. However, their full name is rarely used...

Close, but not quite there. Spock performed this ritual at Vulcan's Forge, but it is not the only location where the ritual may be performed.
Tuvok discussed this rite with Chakotay. He made a point that Starfleet Academy Survival Training wasn't nearly as challenging.
