Well Nottingham, UK, is in the Midlands, so easy to get too for most people in England and Wales, leastways. Has airport connections to most of Europe too, and is right next to the M1. Plus I live there, so it's easy for me
I think the Manchester one's a great idea, a good centre place for it.
And if Wales, perhaps Aberystwyth.

Lets have an official Union in Toronto Canada. I have tried to set something up for 6yrs, at our Sci-Fi Convention held every July, with no luck. The people could do the Convention weekend, and then tour Totonto Canada. Toronto Canada has many great places to see, and things to do. Just remember, Toronto, Canada is very expensive. Go read my thread about our Sci-Fi Convetion for 2005. Just look for Convention, and my name. It is one of the threads in this union section.

For the next UK one after this London one, how about somewhere in a less crowded city? Like, say Oxford. It's got the normal museums etc, it's got lots of universitys, which means lots of pubs! And a cool laser-quest, and an ice skating rink....

Atlantis27 i don't mind going to other areas of the UK for a Union, we just need someone in that area to organise and run the union. Also you need to create a webpage with all the info on, instead of tralling through pages and pages on the forum.

How about a union in Calgary? I mean it's like in the middle of Canada and alot of people from the US could probably attend. Also, a union in Halifax would be good. I'm sure a few of our European members could cross the ocean, and union in Halifax is the only one I would be able to attend for sure.

Now that I have money, although limited, I would love to go to a union - I think. But flights to Europe get pricey! I can't even believe how many people go on a consistant basis. They must have a bottemless bank account. Or, they live in Europe and it's cheap to fly around there.
Anyway, if I'm looking at a trip to a union that will cost me less than 2500 dollars CND, I think I'm partial to a union in Canada or even the USA, the flights are mostly the same price depending on distance from Calgary.
