Okay then! Sydney (Australia) Union 2002, Day 1, December 12, 2002.
Anya had sent me this email earlier in the week, so I knew she'd be in Sydney at 6am. Sent her an SMS, which is a texting service for mobile (cellular) phones. Now people say the TV show "24" is like the best advertisement for mobile phones. I think Sydney Union 2002 is a better one! More on that later. 
So after the SMS goes out, I decided to pop online to grab my email and see who's online. Guess who's online? ANYA! Eventually, a plan is worked out and I sprint out the house in order to catch the right bus. Of course, the bus driver left with me hanging onto the doorframe and later he slewed the bus and almost sideswiped a car, but that's not the point. On to the Union!
Now let me tell you this, Anya has one of the worst senses of direction EVER! She gave me directions which sent me about two kilometres in the opposite direction! I eventually found her, exhausted, an hour later. But I still luvs ya, An!
What next? My nemesis (no pun intentional to the ST movie) shows up. It's Sym! Without missing a beat, we continue our bickering with gusto. And of course, we all take potshots at each other's expense. But mostly, me and Anya came out in the lead since Sym showed us which house he lived in (we walked there). 
Apart from seeing where Sym lived, we acted like tourists, generally and walked ourselves silly (including a nice little ferry ride where both Anya and Sym got seasick  ). Of course, Sym had to leave in the afternoon, leaving me to help Anya check in and carry her stuff up (she packs like a refugee) to her room. And no, for those of you with minds in the gutter, nothing happened!
I had planned on staying to have dinner, yes, a nice candlelit dinner but she decided to crash and sleep the night. C'est la vie.....
Where are the photos, you scream. I have them, just that the roll's not full and not developed. Some of the captions of the photos taken this day include "Anya and Quincy smile for the camera", "Sym smiles for the camera", "Anya receives the bill", "Anya trying to get some rest" and my favorite. "Captain Sym takes a smoke".
I've probably forgotten about some of the pictures I've taken, but don't fret, the URL for the whole set appears soon!

Quincy - do what I did when I met up with someone from the internet...if you want to empty a film, start taking random photo's of strangers 
I got some funny looks when I pointed at someone, yelled "SMILE!" and instantly took the photo before they could object

Okiedoke...
Well this is just from my perspective, and my memory is never very good but perhaps Anya 'n Pheeb can fill in the blanks
Monday: (Lunchtime)
Anya and Pheeb meet up with me outside my workplace and thankfully my boss had said that I could take an hour and a half rather than the usual hour.
We dined on the finest of cuisine, Subway and then with lack of anything better to do, decided to take a wander around Albert Park (where the Gran Prix was held in Australia).
We came across a sacrificial bird, probably some strange cult operating within suburban Melbourne, which was killed by "Death by sock" or something similiar (a dead bird draped in a black sock). We talked for a while and as my time was short, decided to head back...and came across another sock AND THE BIRD (which should have been there, by our reckoning) WAS MISSING! 
I "worked" for a few more hours and then met up with Anya 'n Pheeb about 5pmish at which point Pheeb had to leave. I assisted Anya in getting her luggage and then we searched all around Melbourne for a steak, obviously we were looking in the wrong places.
We messed around for a while, got something to eat, and then headed back to Anya's hotel where we immediately hopped online.
Around 9pm-ish I took off for home (which took 2 hours )

Tuesday:
I organised with Anya 'n Pheeb where I would meet them, and set off from work only to find that there were massive delays in the public transport (I was fairly late ).
We eventually met up around 6 o'clock and decided to grab a beer before Timmy (Sielu) arrived at 6:30pm.
For some strange reason, my beer evaporated within 5 minutes, whereas Anya took about half an hour to drink hers (obviously needs more practise ) and then we caught up with Tim.
At this point we decided that we would grab something to eat and then decide what we're doing, and so we walked one length of Southbank (restaurant/commercial district beside the river) before realising that we'd forgotten to stop for food. We then walked the entire length again. *lol*
Anya was wanting to get one film of photo's developed and find a netcafe and so we set off again (more walking! ).
Pheeb had to leave at this point, and so Tim, Anya and myself headed into a netcafe and proceeded to mess around in Alder Hill for a while (with Anya professing her love for Michiel ).
Tim and myself then walked Anya back to her apartment, admittedly I started off on the wrong street, but due to my impecible sense of direction, did not appear to get lost at all
That was it, we went home. Thankfully Tim and myself had not missed the last train, otherwise Anya would have ended up with company, which I'm sure she would REALLY have appreciated (Not!

Alright, the Aussie Union has finished *lol*
Wednesday:
Met up with Anya where she was picking up the photo's and then headed to the train station to shove her luggage into a locker (required a bit of "gentle manipulation).
Met up with Sean (Shaun?  ), Pheeb, Imzadi, Kimba, Tim, Imzadi's daughter and Sean's friend (both of which I cannot remember their names).
Anya announced that she was hungry (she eats more than I do! ) and so we headed off as a group in search of sustenance.
After eventually making our way to a food court, we proceeded to feed our faces before heading down to an internet cafe where we stormed TF ....only to find that only three logins with the same IP could enter the room. After a bit of playing around with proxies, we all entered and it soon degenerated into a wrestling match while trying to post things from each other's logins *LOL*. For some reason, Sean and Timmy seemed rather "close" in the chatroom, mainly due to "kisses" via the armoury with the same IP as both of them.
As time was rather short due to Anya leaving, we headed out to a store which specialises in Sci-fi merchandise, where we got yelled at for blocking the aisle. (Wait and see the photo's).
After myself hurrying everyone along, as it was 2:15pm and Anya had to catch the bus sometime between 2:30 - 3pm (we were a couple of kilometres from the bus depot) we rushed off only to find that the bus was departing at 3pm.
We then just headed into the lounge and had a coffee before seeing Anya off. Much hugging later and a fair few photo's later, she was gone.
We then headed back into the lounge, where we talked (or continuously poked each other, in Pheeb and myself's case) for a while before going our seperate ways.
Hopefully some of the others will post their versions here, or feel free to correct me!

Oh please Tim....between you boys groping Feebs and I, I believe our bodies will be black & blue for a week..J/K .
We all had an outstanding time, Feebs was loosing her voice, Axion having to stop and wait for the rest of us to catch up on quite a number of times (fast walker, the boy is going places) Tim burnt his hand off, spilling coffee busy looking at some young females across the way, Anya side swiped the DVD rack at a store Imzadi draged us into after that we all made a hasty exit. Sean was quite becoming with christmas decorations it seems he had a fetish for them. Myself?.. I got whistled at outside the train station waiting for Feebs....mmm still recovering from that one

Its not our fault that you girls kept on trying to steal our places on the computers wrestling is NOT groping, as that would imply that we're perverts *L* or at least no "violation" was intended at all...
It was actually Tim that knocked the DVD's flying, much to the hilarity of others, I think that was while Anya was busy flexing her biceps at the camera

OK, so I guess you're all wondering what the Boof was doing during this time.
I'm actually rather upset I missed this year's union (AGAIN! ). It sounds like everyone had fun.
Meanwhile, I was up in sunny Woomera, getting a nice tan (shiny red knees, now... Aussie the red-kneed boofhead... now has very shiny knees...) I was not kept up to date by anyone, but I was told by SMS that the Sydney Union and the Melbourne Union both went as planned. Yay for you guys!
Now for the good news... I've decided (yes, me... I CAN make a decision! ) that Aussie Union 2003 will be in Adelaide. You can protest all you want, but as the 'greenies' don't bother me at my workplace, why should you?
Don't worry, I'll make sure you won't live in cockroach infested rooms (although I can't vouch for the sanity of anyone), but you won't be getting the Hilton either... that's even out of MY price range!
Well, that's enough of my rambling... I'll just go and kill something now... that tub of Ice Cream is looking like a likely victime... yum...

Karen - accomodation doesnt bother me, I'm happy with a patch of grass (dirt?) where I could pitch a tent *lol*
...although I still reckon Melbourne would be a better location

Mini-unions away from our mini-union... FINE!. 
Sometimes I don't see why I should even bother. Have your union in Melbourne! Why not? The whole of Australia LIVES on the east coast, doesn't it? It's a wonder you lot haven't SUNK yet.
