Cartoon Network will offer a variety of premieres and marathons between now and the end of summer, the network announced at its upfront meeting yesterday. The following schedule summarizes its spring and summer offerings. All times are Eastern/Pacific.
Friday, Feb. 27: Party Wagon, a feature-length, made-for-television animated movie, debuts. 8:00pm.
Sunday, Feb. 29: Leap Year Time Travel Day marathon, featuring episodes of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Dexter’s Laboratory (including Dexter’s Laboratory: Ego Trip) and Courage the Cowardly Dog. Runs from 12:00pm to 7:00pm.
Friday, March 5: Mucha Lucha premieres at 8:30pm.
Sunday, March 14: Great Gazoo Day, a five-hour marathon of Flintstones episodes. Begins at 10:00am with the feature film The Man Called Flintstone.
Friday, March 26-Thursday, April 8: Star Wars: Clone Wars returns with ten more episodes.
Sunday, April 11: Five-hour Easter marathon, featuring the premieres of two new specials, The Baby Looney Tunes’ Eggs-traordinary Adventure and Peter Cottontail. Begins at 12:00pm.
Friday, April 16: "The Powerpuff Girls’ Late Night Luau," an eight-and-a-half-hour marathon of The Powerpuff Girls, including a premiere. Runs from 7:00pm through 3:30am.
Saturday, May 1: Megas XLR premieres at 9:00pm.
May 2-May 31: "May Movie Month," featuring a different movie every night of the week at 7:00pm. Films will include The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase, Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown, and Pokémon: The First Movie.
Friday, May 21: Premiere of the third season of Codename: Kids Next Door.
Monday, May 31: The Memorial Day Movie Marathon, a 12-hour marathon of feature films, including An American Tail 4, The Swan Princess 2, Cat’s Don’t Dance, The King and I, The Iron Giant and The Powerpuff Girls Movie. Begins at 10:00am.
Friday, June 4: Premiere of the new season of The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.
Saturday, June 26: Premiere of the second season of Duck Dodgers.
Friday, Aug. 13-Sunday, Aug. 15: "The End of Summer Scavenger Hunt," a marathon featuring episodes of Cartoon Network originals tied to scavenger hunt. Begins at 7:00pm on August 13 and ends at 10:00pm on August 15.
Friday, Aug. 20: "Brain vs. Brawn," a five-hour marathon of The Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory. Begins at 7:00pm.
