Hey i have found a bug in the game, how is this possible



I have minus credits on the planet. LOL i think i might just kill all those colonists for making minus money for me, damn them to the sulfurous fires of hell for not making me profit, they have no other reason to live exceptt to serve me.

LOL its pretty funny to see negative credits though, if the admins wanna message me i think i know what went wrong

Ive had that happen to me before ... when i accident ... i managed to take more money off the planet then i should have been able to ... hence thats why it goes into negavtive values to balance it out!

You must have taken more off it then you should have ... its a server glitch which causes it! ... but theres nothing the admins can do about it, allthough its -4 million ... when you collected the credits off the planet ... you got 4 million extra then you should have!!!

Just give it time to get back to own value!

No david, if you look closer you will see why my planet has negative credits, this was not the result of taking money from my planet, but something else, i have emailed plug bou bout it anyway

hmmm so caus you have put percentages to 130% you get no cash, and it suddenly goes negative. hmm it does sound like something i heard of before.

Perhaps in the programming there's an older check? which counts on 100% max. And so perhaps you get 30% negative credit makers? or rather stealers... ?
Just guessing here though.
Doest it also do this when the percentages aren't set to halfs?

And how fast did this go negative. Hmmm think I'll do a few test this weekend myself :) I love these kinds of puzzles ;)

hey ... a little problem ... every day i always place 50 billion in my IGB before i go offline ... i did this yesteray ... however when i checked my IGB this morning ... it was down to 49.4 billion ... and the money should have gone up ... is this a new handycap or somthing that has not been mentioned?

5 billion energy units =                                5*5*200,000,000
5 billion energy units per planet in system =  5*5*5*200,000,000

With just one planet you have enough energy for 25 updates, or   2.5hours
With just 5 planets you have enough energy for 125 updates, or   9.5 hours

Plasma storm or no plasma storm your gonna be replacing that energy pretty damn soon after setting up those fighters,not even half a days cover with 5billion energy on 5planets

The price a unit of energy is 3.
The price of energy you use per update is 3*200,000,000, or 600million credits
The price of energy per day is 24*10*600million = 14.4billion credits per day.
So its easily done cash wise

An example in the extreme
If your power is at lvl36 you can transport 1,092,082,205 energy units, so if your planets in an energy port, it will cost you 2turns i think to buy the energy and transport it to your planet, so everyday you could put 24*10*3 /2 (moves per day/2) times 1,092,082,205 energy on you planet. Thats 720billion(slightly more) energy units every day, depending on your energy port being able to supply that on a daily basis.

Working that back you could theoretically support 30billion fighter sector defense easily enough at lvl 36 power,. Needless to say things are not that easy to put into place, you cannot use all your moves transporting energy, it would be incredibly boring, and i dont think an energy port has that amount of energy on sale every day. Plus you would lose a huge amount of interest every update by investing that amount of money in your ship.

yeah click other under your realspace presets and then. put in your sector destination. and click compute. it will tell you the amount of turns and energy you will gain for the trip. then you can decide to take the trip or not.

Can i ask a question of my own ...

with a ship with level 14 engine, and 10 EWD'd its quite impossible to attack the ship with the EWD going off first

... ok now a namless person attacked my ship ... and it engaged its ewd ... 2 minutes later ... the same person attacks my ship again ... then EXACTLY 2 minutes AGAIN after that the same person attacked my ship again, and then gave up ...

... now i know from experience, that to find a ship just once is very impossible, to find it twice ... thats over the top ...

... this all happened on november the 29th if you wish to check my logs... which you probabiyl wont ... because that was a day of massive sector defences degredation ...

anyway your opinion ...

my concern is who the person is ... but also the time frame from which it took to find my ship ... 2 times after the EWD had ignighted!

I have a few questions about round 6...

Why are there so many double links in 1 sector?
If you look at sector 0 you see 4 links.
But only 2 destinations, 2 x 1 and 2 x 499...
Why???

And have there been any changes made?
If so what can you tell us about them?

And how could 2 playes use double the nr of turns?
Are they mods or something???

i dont think they are mods they might have gotten in when the game was just released like 1 minute after the server started becuase the timer is  not set right away giving the person unlimited turns until i becomes normal again. but yet again when they have those turns they get the 3 turns every time the players click a new link or hit refresh. but i can bite them in the but in the end. but i think that is what happend. or they were testers.

as far as the extra turns we had goes, it won't make much difference because by the end we'll both have plummeted down to teh lower ranks because we're both pretty poor at it. look at the rankings now, blades used less than half the turns infinite has and he's already miles ahead.
