Hey all,
All though the Nemesis posters have been saying that Nemesis will be out on the 13th that is not the case for the UK. (Copy and pasted)
STAR TREK: NEMESIS will be distributed by United International Pictures throughout the UK and Ireland on January 3rd, 2003.

So no one spoil it for us!

If you are interested in spoilers, instead of posting them on here, go to this site and read to your heart's content, just don't tout any details around this board or in the chat rooms please, as there are some of us who enjoy NOT knowing how the story will end before we see it.

Thanks. :)

To be honest I am dreading Nemesis being as bad as I think it might be. Apparently Worf (no, no real spoiler here) is once again used for comic relief, for example, which is really crappy of the writers. Yeah, Worf has a legitimate claim to be ruler of the entire Klingon Empire so naturally, let's turn this once dignified and believable warrior into a buffoon.

We'll see. It's got the Rommies in and I like them. But cool-looking ships and volleys of torpedoes do NOT a great movie make.

But they have to make it a great move. It's going to be the last one that the TNG star in. it seems that Voyager after Endgame seemed a big let dowen, are getting the spotlight. So I think Rick Berman is trying to make up for that. I will not be impressed if Nemesis is a let down. Good heavens, I just read an interview that John Logan did for SyFy Portal. He says that Deanna Troi is one of his favorite characters.

Here are my favorite TNG characters, in order:

Picard
Riker
Data
Dr. Crusher
Geordi
Worf
Troi
[fifty more names scroll by]
Wesley Crusher

I just don't see why EVERY TNG film seems to be about Picard and the robot . . . Riker's criminally under used. Let's see HIM carry the next film on his new ship!

I agree with Babel, he needs to have more action. But sadly, I think your all going to be in for a surprise for this film.

Nothing is as it seems. The trialer's are lying and show nothing.

Besides, you're forgetting the magic formula of Star Trek movies. ;)

:P The Motion Picture- Another space probe? Boring...
:) The Wrath of Khan - Pretty good. Lots of intrigue.
:P The Search for Spock - Like a long episode of TNG that wasn't good enough for a two-parter.
:) The Voyage Home - Low budget, but good and lots of fun.
The Final Frontier - Yeecccch. Period.
The Undiscovered Country - The best TOS film of them all. Droolage.
Generations - Ummm... not that good. Too many catch phrases from Data.
First Contact - My favourite TNG film by far. I cry every time Cochrane shakes hands with the Vulcan... *sniff*
Insurrection - Again, suffered from too many catch phrases... and what the HELL were they thinking with that @!*$ing joystick!?!?

As you can see, there is a clear pattern of good, bad, good, bad. Therefore, Nemesis will have to be good. Otherwise, the universe as we know it will come to an end.

Awaiting Armageddon,

Sonata Form

I LIKE Star Trek V. It was incredibly hampered by writers' strikes, budget cuts, a lack of decent SFX, Paramount ordering Shatner to 'put more humour in' yet still managed to deliver some knock-out scenes.

Remember now, shes a admiral from Endgame, if shes going to be in a movie, they have to situate it around her old grey style :k

Careful indeed :?

If Painway is in the next film as a major character I will be finished with Trek for good. Simple as that.

If they use Painway, the single worst Trek character since Nurse Chapel, it will demonstrate the levels of idiocy they have sunk to . . .

Feel free to disagree and defend Janeway. I know you will anyway. *l*

Lzrman - Most likely to help sell videos first. Although Enterprise was shown before the vidoes came out, which is why 4 video came out this month over here.

Also the movie date over here is 16th of January. Boy was i off, and this also means that everybody else can stop complaing about 3rd of January coz we got it even worse. At least tow towers is 26th Dec, 25th for midnight screening.
