Crix : Very constructive, thanks for that. :S

I would like to say, that this project so far is shaping up to be something quite amazing. It's grown way beyond anything i imagined when i got into the whole idea of making a fan film with OTF'ers involved.

Ths is all down to Stewart, and the people like DS, and other friends that he's brought onboard.

I'll be among the most commited guys working on this along side those i've already mentioned. But, i feel i have to point out, this is not a revised re hash of the old Star Wars : Dark Resurrection film project. This is a whole different world away from that.

This post is to say, that although i've been regarded as the  head honcho for this project since the start, i'm far from that role on the new Star Wars : The Dark Times. I'm helping in any way i can right now in pre production, and then stepping up my time on this as we enter filming, and then post production on things like 3D animating, and visual effects.

So, Stewart is the guy who has to take all the credit for breathing new life into this whole thing. And at present you would not believe what he's doing to make this happen. I'm devoting around 90% of my free time to this, and i'm sure Stewart does not have many minutes where he's not planning or working things out to.

If you can help in any way, please contact us.

As i've said many times before. let us be the judge of your talents, and telling you just what you could contribute. Read back through the thread, and i'm sure you'll see some stuff you can do. :)

Well I would'nt say all the credit, I'm only able to function in my role so long as there is conversation going on, Debowli has been a great help and a great source of contact as much as Anth...I'm just keeping the conversation going and planing out..

As i say, in numerous posts the non uk shoots (we have a few scenes up for grabs that may cast and crewed outside the A unit) the cut off to get back is to me or this board is december, as it is for all casting and crewing and props and what not....

I think its time that we killed the other forums that have this thread on it..... I think people may be reading that one a lil too much..... so if the powers that be  could do that... it would be a great help.

I'd love to help out and take part somehow, but there's no way I'll make it to the UK for shooting... love to be involved, though, so if there's anything that I could do - let me know! ;)

can I just state for the record... I detest shopping

I trooped over to Bovingdon Market on sat, with the vain hope of finding something for my costume. Well, it didnt happen  :(

On a lighter note, I did spot a lovely white sink. It was quite long and shallow. Very nice.

oh wait, im going off on a tangent.... ummm, there is a point to this and I cant remember what it is.
:v

well, if anyone knows of anywhere that sells cheap cargo trousers please let me know

Bria : Thanks, email me at anthmartian@gmail.com We can almost definately find you something to do that would be a great help. :)

Lupus : Hmmm a white sink? I think though, we'll go with light sabers as originaly planned. :P

You could try an army surplus place for trousers and other clothes. They do alot of stuff in black, not just camo type stuff.

I am making your light saber at the moment, and mine, and its looking nice so far. :)

I must admit I have only tryed one army surplus place (and that was with the intention of getting a hi vis jacket for work)
The only problem with the stuff is that it doesnt tend to fit. I am not very small, but my wardrobe does contain a large number of items for 13-15yr olds, kids Large, 152cm etc

Whats wrong with sinks?!?!?! They are quite heavy...

Lupe remmeber you can buy boys clothes too they might end up cheaper , cargo's is one idea though you could go with "plain" heavy materials though denim does not exist in the star wars universe, If in doubt the golden rule is "black" black hides a great amount of detail, however it swallows a lot of light too....

Speaking of light....

To the people  who are in the film, do remmeber... make up...film brings up every single skin flaw, every pore... so a level of "subtle" make is required... just concealer really...

DeBoe : We all lost our parts in the film. Due to the old film being closed down. You were e-mailed several times. I guess there must have been some problems with one or more e-mail accounts, i sent you a ton of mails all titled with "IMPORTANT". I do remember you had some mail problems in the past, thats why i offered you the gmail account. Also there was alot of posting in the old thread about it too, which i felt was all we needed to do in order to contact everybody. Everybody involved was encouraged to follow the forums from day one, as added insurance against mailing problems. Due to all of this, i never for one minute thought i could be proceeding without guys knowing what was happening. If this did happen, i'm very sorry.

There were many reasons for changing things, including technical, i was the only person working on it, and lack of communication from key people. The project got to the point where it could not move on in its present form. My chances for filming were the summer just gone, guys on the project did not contact me, forcing me to cancel filming, i have very little chance of filming next summer too due to my personel life, so that lack of response from people set us back 2 years. I was not willing to sit about for 2 years before the film could begin production proper.

Nobody was more gutted than me. I had worked solidly on Dark Resurrection for almost a year. I put in hundreds of hours on it.

The new film has a British core, people who are going to physically meet on set dates for filming. So there will be no danger of it not proceeding.

We engineered the new film to present as many opportunities to overseas members as we could. From memory there are five parts available for overseas OTF'ers.

Deboe : You are more than welcome to be in the new film, to be honest i was keeping my fingers crossed you would respond to mails and stay involved. There are onscreen roles available to anybody who wishes to set up a overseas "mini production" plus voice acting parts left. I suggest though you contact Stewie as well as me, contacting both of us should elimate you mail problems, or my problems contacting you.

For the record, i am heavily involved in this new film, but i am not running the show on my own any longer, as i was on Dark Resurrection, i'm just a very active partner in it all, alongside many others. We have started over completely. The script does feature some elements of Dark Res, as a kind of tribute i suppose to the efforts of the old film. But nobody's part remains intact to be carried over. If a part does carry over, their character has changed completely.

Notice to all OTF'ers - December deadline approaching

Hi guys.

Just to remind everybody, the cut off point for OTF'ers getting involved and being cast in roles for the film is December. Just to warn everybody, the few attempts that have been made so far to recruit outside OTF, have met with alot of interest and success. Only specialist parts have been looked for elsewhere so far, ie Stormtroopers.

But, once we hit december all parts will be open to the general public as we need conformation of people commitment to proceed.

Stewie mixes alot in pro and amatuer drama circles, plus alot of people out there have always wanted to be in a Star Wars film! So i can say for certain, that once we pass that dealine in December, OTF members will have lost their priveledged position that they hold at the moment regarding parts in the film.

So, please contact us now to take part. :)

Hey, everyone. I know I said I could possibly make it to the UK for some filming, but it turns out that I will not be able to make it over there. But, I will continue to work on my lines for Meeko and continue to keep up with this stuff as best as my time will allow! :)

DeBoe : Thanks for letting us know. I did try hard to keep options open for everybody that was involved before. There are still some voice acting parts available if you change your mind. Plus those onscreen roles i told you about.

That goes for everybody. But time is running out for everybody at 10F, as far as being a cast member is concerned. Please contact myself, or Stewie, or post here to join the project. :)

This is a taste of the new artwork being produced for the film by Bria. Pretty cool eh!

Sylvius : If i remember correctly, you were interested in a voice acting role? There are several of these, a rebel pilot, Jabba the Hutt, and possibly the Stormtroopers ( That's if the Stormtroopers we have don't want to do the voice acting themselves. ) as well as on screen roles left.

Also there are a couple of Coruscant street scenes were i imagine extras could be featured also. We also have masks of some of the alien species in Star Wars, a Mon Calamari, and a Nien Numb type alien, there is also a major character alien, a Rodian. These are all non speaking roles. If you want to be in the film, but are a bit shy! *L*

Of course, to ensure the coolest screen appearance, you could buy some Stormtrooper or Scout Trooper armour! :P

If you, or any other OTF'er is interested, the best idea is to record a short sound file on Windows sound recorder ( just make up something you feel will suite the role you want ), and get it to us. Then we can decide which parts are best for you. Or if you want to be an extra, or a major character ( there are some major roles left! ) let us know aswell.

The best way to make contact is this forum. Or emailing me at anthmartian@gmail.com

Remember also, we need alot more than just actors. Those appearing, or being heard on screen are just the tip of the iceberg. Helping out is also the only way anybody is going to get a DVD of this first OTF film.

I thought i'd give an update on the film for those of you here wondering what's happening.

We had our first real life meeting of cast and crew on Sunday 8th of January in London. OTF are represented onscreen in the project by myself, Evil Incarnate ( director ), Lupus, Neo Hawkeye, Demon Slayer, Sylvius, Shadow Jedi, and Boomer Robins.

Off screen by, Queen of the Universe, Bria, JP, DeBoe, and Jadzia.

There are many other people involved now from outside OTF, bringing things to the project which are vital and much needed. Others will come onboard later on. So, this project will draw on many who are not OTF members, we cannot truly say its a 100% OTF project anymore. But, we are very well represented, and there will be alot of familiar faces onscreen. :)

Sundays meeting was great! The first read through of the script. We had alot of fun. It could almost have been an OTF union, had we gone in more than one pub! ( myself and Neo did put that right a bit, by going in another pub and having a few pints before we left central London though. :P )

We also toured the films locations, stunning settings too, which will give the film a huge boost. We'll be getting together again before filming begins in April.

All i can say is i am on a real high after Sunday. This film is going to happen, the actors are great, the costumes will be amazing, it's a real story, with plenty of Star Wars action too.

It'll be a real treat for OTF'ers on the 30th anniversary of Star Wars release, in May 2007.

Hey,

All of this is sounding Good Ant, now all these extra people all you have to do is persuade them to join OTF and well it is an OTF project ;)

I hope that once you start filming you will visit the pubs at the wrap of a days filming.

This coming from someone who is aware of just how much liquid is consumed at those events.

Otherwise you may have your storm troopers demanding that the hero demostrate he is sober by walking in a straight line while fighting :D

I thought you may like an update. :)

Filming will begin this saturday 1st of April ( i'm not joking! ) There will be two major film shoots, one now, and one in July, and couple of smaller ones slotted in between.

Due to having a quite limited take up by OTF'ers, we can't truly call this an all OTF venture any longer though i'm sad to say. At the end of the project i do expect OTF to have made up around 30% of the guys working on it. Many of the stars of the film are members here.

We have some fantastic people working on this, and some amazing costumes. We'll have i hope 3 Storm Trooper / scout trooper costumes come the weekend. A fantastic Vader costume, Jedi's, and other assorted aliens.

All across the board i'm amazed how this has gone from what it was to what it now is. Many thousands of pounds, hard work, and effort have this project well underway now.

We have talented guys already working with me on special effects. We even have our own ship being modelled for 3d animation right now. Early scenes are finished already.

Stewie ( Evil Incarnate ) has assambled a great cast, and some state of the art filming equipment, and will direct and edit the film.

Just thought i would let you know how we're getting on. Just because you don't hear anything it does not mean that nothings happening. Alot of people have been working flat out on this film every day since it was announced.

Now we're getting to the fun part! We're leaving pre production behind, and going full swing into the full production. Also the CG computer animating guys are well into post production effects work.

So, all in all. It's looking great, exciting, and alot of fun.

Hopefully if i can get clearance i'll post a couple of behind the scenes images here after filming. :)

Go Rini! :P

Please could we keep this one on topic. If any OTF'ers do wander in and would like to help, or get involved, it would be nice if there was relevant info posted rather than surreal, random, and unrelated subject matter.

There's a Randomness thread gathering dust somewhere around here. *L* I think this is the reason it was started.

It is the only point of contact for this project at the Outpost, all of us involved would be really grateful if it was left for that purpose.

Many thanks. :)
