so now it's wednesday. i know you had some crap fly your way recently KYP, but me and others were wondering if you are any closer on finding a reset date. if you still got to many things on your table to deal with you should tells us to wait another week or more but if its any time soon a date would be nice.

This post is regarding the closure of BNT, the post has already been dleted once but i am adamant to have it answered instead of the cowards keep deleting the blasted thing

Remulus hit the nail on the head with his post, the reason for the drop in people on this server is through quite appaling management. Arguing and all the other events that have happened over the last year or so is because of the incompetance of just about every OTF mod/admin or whatever you wanna call yourselves.
The cheating accusations... mods cheating by abusing their admins powers. The blocking of many email accounts was a great move, you might aswell of closed the server down then. You say the ideals of OTF are unity, togetherness and co-operation, where was all this bull**** when you decided to ban my account? to which none of you cowards have replied to probably because the sheer lack of common sense amoung you idiots to realise that i can not be half way round the world at the same time as i am sat here in the UK. Quite frankly i couldnt care less if you do shut this piece of excrement down because it used to be the best BNT server around but poor management since Plugboy left has seen its downfall get worse and worse....
Oh and btw the poor management is clearly highlighted by the fact that AJ says it is going to close down but munro says otherwise, brilliant communication there boys.
I hope everyone gets to read this before it gets removed (as my posts tend to do when i ask about the banning of my account)

Dude you are one to talk, if i was so attached to the game i would still play. I was banned for reporting hackers, so i went in search of justice and a REASON as to why i was banned. Once again the question was dodged and i still await a reason and the so called "evidence" of me hacking. Immature and sad? I am not the one who spends endless hours sat running a silly site, as for going outside? Dude that is teh come back for just about every nerd who thinks that they have some form of power may you should take a look in the mirror, and heed your own advice. I didnt want to turn this nasty but it would appear you want it this way.
The crap leadership is clearly highlighted when is was said in numerous posts that the interest rates should not be messed with and yet they were changed more times in a round than i can remember.
Next, I figured that if BNT goes down then more than likely these forums will go down so i wanted to get some things off my chest whilst the forums were around, dude i played this game a few times if i really cared i would of done all the crap you did and get promoted blah blah blah and help run the thing but the fact i didnt do any of that #### shows i do not give a dam.
BNT was screwed the moment Plugboy left and even he said that the place was not being run properly so you can shove that up your arse, this poor running caused people to leave NOT people surgesting new ideas and having a go at the admins when they screwed up. Maybe you should spend some more time doing your research before you jump into something you have no idea about...
I know more about enjoying myself than you do and i dont mind you trying to poke fun at me because it highlights how weak and pathetic you really are with comments you discussed...

Once again, you retaliate with insults and petty quips. You say, correctly, I take things seriously as far as OTF goes, but when things do not go my way, I don't start insulting everyone and making forum topics name-calling everyone in sight. If you were really unconcerned about OTF, BNT etc you wouldn't start threads name calling and making a fuss because you were banned for what ever reason.
I do heed my own advice, and hypocricy is not a crime of which I am guilty. If we want to exchange diaries of our personal lives so we can see who goes outside and doesn't spent their time insulting people on an internet forum and making a song and dance because they were banned from an internet game, I'm more than happy to.
You decided to go on the offensive and to start insulting people and name calling, so don't point the finger at me for "starting it". I simply replied to your post - which is something you asked for - and did so in a manner that took your points and disassembled them.
You keep stressing that you do not give a damn? I again ask you why is it that you feel the need to insult everyone and start trouble and arguments? Surely you do give a damn otherwise you wouldn't be here calling everyone names and telling everyone they "r teh sukz0rs lolol roflma!!111111!!!!11omg".
I've spoken to a lot of the old-time players who were around when the game first opened, and they all said they left because the game was too flat, one-dimensional and strangled by arguments and name-calling on the forums. This, if you go back a read, are the reasons cited for the closure of BNT. Perhaps some elements of the game could have been handled better, I will grant you that, but also the attitude and response by a lot of the players could have been a lot better.
You say you know more about enjoying yourself than I do? How you can make such a claim when you know nothing about me beggers belief. *l*

Couple of points i wanna make:
1. I dont care how much you think i care, the fact of the matter is that i couldnt give a flying toss about the server. Maybe if i had invested time or money then maybe but i couldnt give a ####! This merely started out as a request to which nobody anywahere gave me a clear answer. It wasnt until i took it up a notch that anybody decided to say something instead of deleting posts.

Now we can end this farce by simply telling me what proof there was that i was a hacker. That is all that was asked for in the first place. Its just after many months of waiting i lost my patience, and i feel it is just to receive an explanation. Innocent until proven guilty and all that.

Nope, it's not my way of saying I want a brawl - if I wanted that, you would know about it. You simply said I need to take my advice hence suggesting I don't get out at all, I was simply saying otherwise and would be happy to list my other activities I get involved with.
Listen, if you'd have said, in a polite and civil manner, that you're not overly happy with the running of the game and that you want answers, then you would get a much better response. I've always said people can email me directly if they have any problems. If you'd have poked me and just asked me to find out why, and where's the proof, I'd have done that. But instead you started using insults and foul - albeit censored - language, hence you get this sort of response and no-one takes you seriously. Would you want to deal with someone who is hurling abuse?
If you're willing to discuss this in a civil manner, and with sense of decorum and politeness, I'll be happy to discuss it with you. I'm no longer interested in hurling abuse at one another, I have far better things to do with my time than engage in keyboard wars over an internet forum about an internet game.
As I say, though: if you're willing to discuss it in a mature and polite manner, then I'll happy discuss whatever problems you may have with you.

Indeed, we should call it a day. Atleast i finally got a response from somebody not that it matters now with BNT closing anyways... It was fun whilst it lasted but alas all good things come to an end... Maybe ill contact you later but im off out and im finishing my exams so it might be a while.

Aj,
In whitty's defense, why hasn't evidence been provided that he hacked? I'm nuturel in this and if any kind of evedence or even an explanation I will accept that wheth I agree with it or not, but it seems only fair that it is provided. THanks have a good day too  .

If you feel Isa has not dealt with your request for proof on why you where banned and you feel you where banned on pure hearsay, then try emailing the assistant directors again, to find out whats going on. (But give them some time to reply, as they are busy people, and wont be available to reply straight away!

For the record, Whitty, You promised not to post such vulgarities in here again from the last time you had a hissy fit and threw a temper tantum here, which resulted in you and I personally exchanging several Emails in regaurds to your banning. Which, turned out to be your own fault. You even appologised for the whole thing so why don't you take a step back from crying wolf here out in public and handle these items that you seem to have forgotton about in a civilised manner.
The proof was provided and this was sorted out months ago. Why you want to rehash it all now and break your agreements is beyond me and quite unbecomming. Why your posting here with your brothers account is also beyond me as well. There will be no further disorder here, period. If you need a reminder of the month of March you may again drop me another email. There is no need to air your dirty.., lost laundry here.
I recommend replying to me in private if you choose to do so at all. Especially if you don't recall our conversations.

Well, my post was deleted from the "bad news" thread for no logical reason, so I'll re-iterate here. Mismanagement was the downfall of this server. It's the truth mods, and I know it's your job to take the mods side and say it's the players fault for bickering and calling everyone cheaters, but in all truth it was mismanagement.
Because if someone threw a tantrum or people bickered in one round, all that went silent when the next round started. Why? Because the game was solid, managed well, challenging. But when rules get changed every round and even mid-game and theres no official start dates or end dates ever enforced for a round, then that seriously kills any excitement to come back and play. So intstead of bickering and then a desire to play even better next round, there's just bickering and a desire to never come back.
So mods, I know it's taboo to talk bad about other mods but please don't add insult to injury by having our beloved game run into the ground and murdered, and then blaming US for it. That's just wrong. I hope that one of you, deep down know that mismanagement ruined bnt, whether or not you will admit it, I just hope you have the courage and intelligence to accept the truth
And please don't delete this post too. It's not offending anyone or breaking any rules, just like the last one.

NO PROOF WAS SHOWN TO ME EVER!!!!!!!!! In fact no real reason was given to me ever!!!! How many times to do i have to tell you!!!!!!! Im not gonna start another slanging match however fun they are, if you can prove me to me right now that i hacked the server then i will shut up and go away but as the eveidence is strongly in my favour i doubt you can prove sod all. Two different IP's, logged in at the same time one in the USA one in the UK please tell me how i can possibly do this? Also even if i could do some hacking why the hell would i tell the admins??? This strange logic you have applied to the situation baffles me, i asked for proof many months ago to which NONE of the serveral people i sent mail to replied... i dont know how many more times im gonna have to say this but i shall carry on until you provide proof...

I agree, all these little coversations and arguements need to be continued in private. I myself am not interested in hearing whether or not you cheated, hacked, lied or stole w/e. Im not interested in hearing about our lack of management or bad players.
All I care about is someone taking charge and either doing what they took the responisiblity of becoming a moderator of the site does, or closing the site. Someone needs to either get rid of this fricken game, or turn it the frick back on. Because frankly it makes me sick that no one wants to rake responsibility and run the damn game, so they give us the lame excuse that theres "too many problems". WE ALL WANT TO PLAY. So open the game or close it down, dont lolly gaggle around with stupid excuses. Mods, you need to man up and do something "PRODUCTIVE".
Go ahead, try and make the excuse that you have lives. Its not my fault that YOU chose to RUN THIS SITE.

You're right, the Moderators choose to do this because they wish to. Do you really think they will wish to continue doing so when you're shouting at them and expecting them to drop everything so you can play a game? They have to juggle real-life commitments such as school, careers, families etc with running this BNT game.
I'm addressing everyone now: show the moderators and administrators some respect. They are under no obligation to run this game and do so out of good faith. Just because you want to game to be sorted this instant doesn't mean it's going to happen.
If you don't all start exhibiting and showing more respect, patience and a sense of gratitude for the hardwork these people put in to this job, then I will have this forum closed down indefinitely.

I just want to agree with AJ here.
Folks, remember, this is primarily a chat site and, as such, the coding and maintanace of it has priority over everything else. From the outside, it might look like we're doing nothing, but you don't see the behind the scene parts, where we lose good coders through overwork and underpay and have to find replacements just as good to fill their shoes.
This in mind, quite a few of the people running BNT juggle other site tasks (including their real jobs and school as AJ pointed out) and it's the higher priority things that naturally have to come first. We brought BNT to OTF as something for the chatters to play, not the other way around. So, please have patience.

let's just stop argueing here...
Just say you close down the game and close the forums too.
You can see this is getting nowhere.
People don't care about what happends anymore, they are convinced that the gamee has ended and so they aren't afraid of banning.
Just shut the game down for good and tell them it's realy over.
Close the forum within one week and you have no worry's about it anymore.
If you keep responding to those unpolite messages they will keep sending more your way.
I don't think that is what you want is it?

Everyone here had some good points, so let me re-instate them here in a better fashion.
draknos said that the game either needs to end or start. I have to agree, the game is doing nothing right now. King Pin has worked hard on trying to get people to rejoin the game and as you see, race wars was looking like a good idea...
ajcardall wants the whole whitty thing handled in private. thats fine, doesn't bother me. but whitty doesn't seem to want to, and i can respect that. so either way, you should either send him what he wants through email, since he's made it clear he want answers, or do it here. instead of bantering over where and how it will be done... I also respect that you all have lives, with family's, friends, and many other things. but i have seen this game reset in just a few hours, and i'm sure it didn't take that long to do.
egmond1981 also has a point, if your not going to do anything more with this game than you should just leave us a goodbye message and close it down. because there is no point to this.
now me, with my own opinions, can see that this game has been really fun. i know its had some problems lately, but its still being discussed by all of you if you are or are not going to shut this down. so i think that in order to quiet this thing down you should let us go with the whole race wars idea. i've heard before that king pin (and maybe david1) would help with or even mod these things. i've also heard some other say they would help.
i think that its pretty obvious that something needs to be done. if i were you, i would ask for a voluntary mod to run a round. have the whole race wars idea go as planed, see how it goes and call it our last shot. if no one volunteers for the job or anything, then end the game and shut down the forums.
sorry for such a long post, and i know i didn't even put half of the things i wanted in here, but i would like an admin's answer to each point (or at least hit them all in some way). i apprietate what everyones doing here, those fighting for the game and the admin's hard work. please, consider this idea. you can't truley know if the game needs to be shut down without first seeing how it does under different circumstances. thank you for listening.

well folks... perhaps it is 4:45 in the AM. or perhaps i am drunk. but i have this server you see.... and this server gives me up to 300GB bandwith per month ya dig. and its like, i could set up a bnt on that junks. its not MS based, its linix server based, but php can run no prob. so like, lets keep this forum open you know. whitty can go cry thru emails or whatevr (whitty shut up, games over. nobody wins, everybody loses.) but yea like, keep this forum oopen so that me or XY or somebody can help out our brothers in their time of need. otf bnt is on life support or whatev, but otf fans can play somethin else in the mean time and save you guys some precious bandwith. nahmean? i mean like prolly only a couple dozen players still frequent this decomposing cesspool of a bnt server but id like to help those few por bastrers out. cause im so nice, and its in my nature to pwn the noobs, lolololoollloll

This is hosted by a good freind Quark... if you entered the chatrooms you probabily would have met him... anyway ignore the scoreline there will be a reset soon. Just have a play to show support and when theres enough players it will be reset!
