No, I'm not being stereotypical. I've been in England quite a few times, and I've actually tried all sorts of things. I don't mean to be insulting, I'm just honestly surprised that some people actually enjoy eating all that, and are not doing so because that's all they have.
That said, I really like quite a few things about britain, I just have had a lot of bad experiences with the food.

Alexis made a neat thingie that finds a font color on the page and turns it white + makes it smaller. It's just a little text file css thingie. He's odd, he does that kind of thing for a living.

Oh, and cheese is a thing I love dearly too. My husband does not though. This makes for sadness. Ladies, do not marry a vegan. Unless you are too, 'course. Nothing wrong with vegans. They're just all disapproving when you marry 'em. 's like "ewww, cheese, I'm not eating thaaaat.."

'course, I guess it has its advantages. He never eats all the cheese and leaves the empty bag in the fridge... Hey, never mind. Marry a vegan if you love cheese. No sharing!

Anyone at OTF should be allowed to use any font color they want. Also, I should be allowed to join in on any topic, and not have my posts ignored, unless my posts go against the topic at hand. Fair is fair. Now I fully understand why Zilette does not come to OTF anymore, with the way some of us are treated here. Any response to this message, should not be made on the message board or this topic. This is a topic about cheese.

I am surprised, when I hear there are folks who do not like any cheese. There are so many different kinds of cheese to choose from in the world, there must be a few kinds folks like. Unless of course your a vegan, or laxtose intolerant.

Technically I think none of these posts are regarding the cheese Polson intended. By that standard, we should all just not post anymore. Or we should go back to the "I love this place" cheese. Y'know, whichever.

Yeah :o You all have to leave my thread right now!!!!

Hey...if I start a thread against large magenta font, does that mean you can't post in large magenta font in my thread?

KJR - the red font was only slightly less painful than the magenta, but thank you for your effort. :)

Current cheese favourite: Gorgonzola cheese pizza, with honey to dip. And it's only like $6 a pie.. whaaa! I must learn to make this one day. My host mom (Japan) politely hates it. Yay for mold.

I found emmental cheese for sale in an import shop in the station, and I bought it. It said to keep it under 10C, so I kept it in my drawer (my room is on average 5-11C). I watched movies with cheese in one hand, and the other open to grab crackers. I looked forward to it every day. But don't tell anyone, this was a secret.

There is a lack of readily available and good cheese here, is why I couldn't pass up a handful of emmental. If you're happy with mozzerella like cheese, but with less character, whatever. There's nothing more adventurous than camembert at the local shop.

And British food.. whaa. Love scones (devon cream is it?), dumpling stew served on a plate and mopped up with bread, so on. Or is that just my dad saving on dishes?

Worst experience eating in England was spending 4 pounds on 6 onion rings one night. Had I known that was what I was going to get, I'd have had McDonalds apple pies instead (2 for a pound, 1 for each hand.) The best experience was an italian restaurant where the staff all yelled at each other, but had the fastest service I've ever seen. The till service was only hampered by the customer taking a moment to regain their breath.

May I just say a big 'WooHoo!' for Australia.
Not only do we have a budding cheese industry which is on the verge (and in some cases actually is) producing some very fine cheeses. Not only that, we're producing some world class wines to go with those great cheeses. It'd be nicer if i actually liked wine.
We also have acess to all kinds of international food, including british. Now, I can definatly see where the british foods would scare some people, hell, they scare me at times, but still - Long live the British food!

Cheese makes me sick.

But aside from that and given the fact, Pols started this topic, it's most likely about other kinds of cheese.

Who cut it? :P

I hate Topic... the bar, that is. I don't hate this forum topic, and if I did, I could expressed that dislike with a bit more eloquence. But I'm more than happy to let other people eat whatever they want without saying "Yuck!" For example, there are people in this world who'll happy eat grasshoppers, but are disgusted at the thought of onion soup. Each to their own, I guess, and who are we to judge?
Anyway! I ignore people's posts all the time. Especially Hobbie's. I have to, the doctor says I need to keep my blood pressure down.
In other news...

I will outdo you all as far as nauseating colours are concerned!

...hey, it's a close call which is worse. I believe that lime can hurt you just as much, in the right dose. :k
