Just wanted to know how many of you use the skype product. Its a awesome program that is free to use, to call people around the world that use this program.

I use said skype as does Michiel and many other cool people. But, we don't give our usernames out willy-nilly.
Should anyone wish to join the famous Michiel-FM Skype conversations please send a stamped addressed envelope to one of the 2 of us, should you not know our addresses, please use our pay-pal accounts, its a £5 membership fee to join in the fun, All proceeds go to charity, Michiel beer fund.

I have Skype. I even have a headset by now.  However, I don't have £5, nor am I cool. You'll have to count me out, I guess.
That said, if anyone wants to talk sometime, drop me an email and I'll consider it. I said consider, all right, so only email if you're not going to get upset if I say "no".

But I have both FM and Schbeeveh on Skype, and I've even already taken part in those famous conversations, without having paid anything.
I'm willing to contribute to Michiel's beer fund by buying him one when I'll see him, though.

Ok like our plans have like changed, anyone can join.
Should anyone still want to send money to be in the charming company of 2 guys get your filthy minds out the gutter and send us money via pay pal, we need it to fund our erm skype habit.

Polgara, you better get your butt on skype soon, my cell phone can't handle our conversations much longer
I have already participated in these famous convos with FM, and Michiel, something ENORMOUS comes to mind.

Google Talk offers a client-to-client voice service very much like Skype's free service. Speeds and quality seem to be a bit more consistent on Google's service than on Skype's, so it's worth checking out if you're having problems.
I'd also like to point out that by doubling Skype's service with another free service, it is possible to make free calls to standard telephones within the US. This only works if the numbers are publicly listed, though.
Premise:
- Skype allows free outgoing calls to toll-free (1-800, et al) numbers.
- 1-800-FREE-411 allows a toll-free, no charge directory lookup service and also connects your calls free of charge.
- By using Skype to call 1-800-FREE-411, you can call listed numbers for free from your computer.
Further information on this can be found here and here.
This is really more of a neat trick than anything else since you can dial 1-800-FREE-411 and achieve the same effect. Of course, if you for one reason or another don't have a phone service, or only have a mobile service (many charge for minute usage when calling toll-free numbers), you can now rest easy and order your pizza.
NB: FREE-411 funds its service through advertisements, which you must listen to before being connected. It also limits expenses by relying largely on automated lookup via voice recognition, which doesn't take too kindly to accents.
