Being bugged, bothered and annoyed, was fun, too. :(

...That is, to put it eloquently, :}

*lmao*  Polson is disgusted by me.  And, also loves me..  :?  I should win something for this.  Her stapler!

At the end of the day, if the people responsible for your promotion (the unheard of entities mentioned by CT known of as DSC/SC/QC/VC/CiC) have time to email people justifying why you were promoted or given an award, maybe they will.  I do, if I have time.  I can't speak for everyone else, and I can tell you right now that we're not about to make it a requirement for SCs to do so.  I don't understand exactly what you want the 'EC or whoever' to prove.. but if you're really interested as to why, and the projects you're working on, the job you do in a department or the position of responsibility you're in don't give you an inkling.. plus you don't think it's up to you to email us, well.. I have no further advice.  Unless the planets are in alignment, at which point Man in Hat will descend from the rafters and revealing the meaning of the universe to you!

On the other issue.. *throws rocks at Bria's cage*  More shiney things in the Blue Report!  :o  Less words, more grunt!

Cam - I take time off when I need it.  *l*  This old bucket is still a fun gig to kick around.  And we get paid now!  =)

Again - not connected to my first request for some promotion feedback.

Brady, well, for my complaints and issues with the whole thing, the EC has to prove something, which they've already said "we don't understand you, so let it go" to.  I think I have a valid point even if they don't, but as I said, until I'm convinced the reasoning behind my personal promotion is correctly motivated, I won't be celebrating it.  And it's not to say I don't appreciate the folks around here who do lots of work, it's not to say that at all.  And for the record, I went fishing over it - and came up with that random generic answer.  People are different. I know that I relate in a way that's different from others, for me personally the promotion system means diddly/squat because it's not real (along with my other unmentioned issues)!  Words of affirmation mean more to me than an empty number next to my name, and I think that if we sat down and really thought about that more people would feel the same way.  And you can SAY that a promo is a public acknowledgement of someone and should count as the same, but it never will.  "So and so told me I have a good work ethic and am reliable" makes a much better affirmation than "the website I chat at made me a Lt. Commander" and has less chance of getting you a free admission to the rubber room.

And I'll admit, I am hard to convince that someone in my life thinks well of me...someone can tell me a thousand times that you love me and I won't believe them, not ever.  Instead I will throw test after test after test at them until they prove that love with the right response to the test and the tests will continue until I'm confident in you, and if after I stop testing you (IF I stop testing you), you fail me, there's virtually no chance of ever regaining that trust.  Because you proved my point about how dangerous it is to trust.  So I acknowledge that I am being very difficult in the matter, because I know how I operate and how I think.  Yet - yet...I'm looking for something within the promotion system that it claims to provide and I'm not seeing it.  Until I do, I'll hang onto my opinion that the promo to cl5 was rot.

*stares at pol*  sweetie, you of all people should know people can love you a TON, but they will still fail because they're people... it's in our nature.  Until we have a new nature, we will continue to fail... so testing is a bad idea.  As humans, we have evil thoughts towards even the people we love and would die for.

I could never prove to you that I love you due to distance, lack of time, lack of knowing you... But I look forward to getting to know you in Heaven (if I make it there).  It'll take us a good deal of eternity to learn how to properly love methinks... But I'm personally "marking" in my memory the people I think are absolutely awesome and I'll have to be friends with There.  For now, I pray for you, feel sorrow over your pains, and hold your dearly in my heart.

This is kinda on topic, I suppose.

How in the world do people get put on the Promotion Recommendation list? I've asked several people, and none seem to know the real reason.

Queenie: I've gotten mixed reviews on those issues. Some told me being in trouble doesn't matter. Some tell me it does. Some tell me chat time matters. Some tell me it doesn't. (Although, I do have to say some of those people on there DO NOT have adaquate chat time considering the couple times I saw it, they hadn't even been IN OTF for like years.... :v ) And, I doubt it's done strictly on a required month basis. And, even all together, there has to be something more than just those three reasons.

Really :?  Wow, to be honest I alway assumed anyone on there had filled all the quotas for promotion. I need it explaining now, too. :D

I'm sure someone else can correct me if wrong.. but you are required to have the minimum chat times, entries, months, etc, stated in the Promotion criteria.

I know if you don't have the chat times but have done a lot of departmental work, the managers of your department can enter that in and again you would be on the list.

Am I wrong?  :?
