In another round of remake mania at Warner Bros. they've taken the next step in their redux of CLASH OF THE TITANS. They announced a while ago they wanted to remake the flick and now they've hired Travis Beacham to script the thing. Beacham's an up and comer whose original script KILLING ON CARNIVAL ROAD is in the works with Guillermo del Toro directing.

Dierna note: Altho Im very pissed that they're remaking one of my fave movies, Im just imagining all the CGI that it's gonna have. Particularly for Medusa, the Kraken, Pegasus, the talking head of the statue of Hera, Dioskilos could easily be Cerebrus now...It should be interesting what all they do with it. But Im still mad that they would even think of making a remake.  :o

But Harryhausen's stop-motion effects are part of what makes this movie great. It's a classic! And who the hell do you get to replace Larry Olivier as Zeus? *l*  And I remember that wonderful score, especially the theme for Pegasus.

MAKE SOME ORIGINAL FILMS YOU DUMB UNIMAGINATIVE HACKS!!!!!

maybe I am becoming a reactionary old fart but I would prefer seeing Harryhausen's magic over modern cgi. Just me.
