Perhaps Kyp is actually getting some rest before restarting the round. I say start next weekend or something, give us all plenty of time to rest too.

Yes I am taking a short break to restart. I realized that it's better for all concerned to have a few days in between. The new round will start Friday night at 9 PM EST. That way it gives everyone a few days break, gives me time to make changes correctly, and starts on a weekend night so all players both US and overseas has a fair chance to get started right away.

If I may say then, is it possible to prevent the buying of turns for the first few days. People who start early don't actually need it, its the ones who start later in the round that do and would be more fair to them. Plus this keeps the scores lower for a bit longer to prevent attacks. Once again no idea how to code this so it may not be possible.

Im a bit confused? You say we "players" need time to "rest"? LoL WtF iS tHiS YoUr JOB or something? Do you work up a sweat playing this game? Not tryin to talk crap but I just dont understand the rest part of it. I mean when I come home from work, ill rest. When I come home from the gym, ill rest. When im done riding my street bike for hours on end and my a$$ is sore as all heck, you better believe ill REST. But when I log off BNT I dont need to rest. Cause im resting at my computer playin! But maybe im just not as hardcore at this game as some? Oh well...... ill just have to roll with it, and yes im prepared to hear everyone complain about my lack of understanding  .
P.S. this is my pre-emptive "No hard feelings" Apology. Sorry.

Though I am not entirely new at this game I find that I learn something new every new round withthe help of some of the more seasoned players  .
I was wondering if there would still be a grace period at the start. I have family coming into town this week and will be here a week. High school graduation in the family on Sat the 20th. I willn to be able to spend the amount of time I would like on this round getting started but if I can at least jump in ther and get a few things set up I might still have a little bit of a chance to stay in the top.. oh... 40 or so..  .
Since is just registered today.. will I need to re-do that one Friday? Just making sure to get all my ducks in a row..

Wooow The real kingpin knows what hes talking about. i think the game should go back to 5000 sectors it would help us all for more attacking. No hard feelings King Pin. But it would be a lot funner if you played as a teacher like a teaching allaince. Your the pro at this game already what do you need to prove. but i bet im a better starter but you the best in the long run. but i remember the last time you played you were in 1st or 2nd and you all of a sudden went down to like 7th and a guy named American jumped up to 1st. he must have cheated because he was at 40 mil rank pionts and you were at 2 mil. you should play this round i would really like to be on a team with you KING PIN. ever since i started playing this game your were at the top. Congrats to you.

hey now children...
i havent played that many rounds... and King Pin has only ever been top on rounds i have NOT played... and even on a round where i started late, and king was on top... i took him out. No problem. I know his weakness, but i never share, hence why he's always top. Maybe I should share, but that would be no fun.
WHEN the cheating stops, ill join back in, alltough as present, things are too unstable with the cheating, and thus im not playing the game as are a load of other players, but thats our choice.
As for players imitating other players names, this is bad. Even though King Pin is my arch nemasis, and we both hate eachover, we have respect for eachover (i assume, otherwise if we didnt have an enemy, how would we define ourselfs ), and i dont like seeing other players attention seeking by imitating other players.
... if there is a race war however, i will join in though, it was fun last time. Otherwise nope.

XZ have you played with 8000 sectors or 5000 what is your opinion about going back to 5000 and all the old rules going back to the way they were. im mean you are a vet in this game. so your opinion is valuable

lol, junk it looks like you're learning this game pretty quickly.
you already have me and xz figured out pretty well.
i would love to have a race war and be captain of the Smuggler/Bounty Hunters. I'd be willing to work with most veterans (as long as they're balanced throughout the races), and I'd be willing to work with, teach, and command any noob to glorious victory. junk you have a spot reserved if this ever plays out (lol, not saying you're a noob or anything as i don't know you)
xz, you got me once. you hit me in a new sector during a 4 hour window, and managed to pull it off just before i got back. extreme luck? or some shady exploit/hack/mod help? who knows, who cares. it won't happen again. that is, if BNT is ever played properly on otf again.
it doesnt matter how much you think you know about me, I'm a better BNT player. You have success when you play, i've seen, but you also have legions of scouts and informants and kamikazi's and traitors to help you. The rounds I win, I win on my skills alone. I might make a deal here or there when it helps my advancement, but all my victories I earned with my own sweat and blood.

Umm, I think you guys are forgetting the true champion of the game. The character know as Exo III, the greatest player ever.
Just kidding, I'm working my way up, cept i screw myself over a lot. Anyhow, again, while its brought up, we should have a race war. Its a popular idea and everyone likes it, its also a chance to get some other players involved. Also, a system can be set up to help stop cheaters...
But I already know I wont get a reply from Kyp on this (since the 47456 other posts its been in never got replies ) so I guess I'll continue to rule the galaxy in the "normal" rounds.
I'll miss you king pin, whitty, xz, bam_bam, and all the legends i grew up with.
And I look forward to playing with all you fair players who are begining to get the game well, grife, gary, brian layne, freter...
Looks like its going to be a good round.
