I have never been a person to do this in the past.  I usually like to post in other people's threads, make off the wall comments, and see if people will make fun of me.  This post is a bit different, though.

Growing up, my grandmother was fairly important in my life.  She was probably the strongest woman (mentally, emotionally, and physically) I've ever met....and I would like to think I'm patterned after her.  She's fiery and tennacous and many people have mistaken her for being mean-spirited when in fact she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Growing up, I was an only child, so I was spoiled wrotten.  However, if my parents ever refused to give me my way...or gave me a punishment I didn't think I deserved....I immediately picked up the phone and dialed my grandmother to try to get her to side with me.  And, usually, it worked.  ;)

Yesterday, my parents took my grandmother to the hospital with a kidney infection.  The E.R. doctor performed a scan on her leg and found out she had blood clots in her leg.  She was hospitalized and treated immediately.  I think she's going to be fine, but I'm a little stressed, nonetheless.

The silly childish side of me wants to dance and sing, "Yay! I'm loved! :D"

The much more serious side of me is just going to say, "Thanks :}", though.

Your support has meant a lot. :)

I've seen family members go in for medical problems. I've seen them come out of surgery.
I don't know how you're feeling, but I  think I can understand some of the tension.
The doctors will do their best,  your grandmother sounds like she won't stop fighting. Just take some time, visit her, and what ever you do, make sure the last thing you say before you leave is 'I love you' so you don't regret what might be the last thing you say to her.

I hope she pulls through.

My grandfather is also very ill, and Im not allowed to see him, which is a pain as I do not know how he is. I miss him a great deal, and I do not wish the pain and strife I feel upon anyone.

I can't say that everything will be fine, as I do not know that it will, but I am sure that if you stay strong, and those around you stay strong, your grnadmother will stay strong herself... :) ...

My thoughts are with you, and I hope all get's better soon... :) ...

Stay happy, Kady...I'm sure most, if not all, OTFers thoughts go with you... :) ...
