The Wheel of Time Roleplaying Game
Presented by the OTF Wizards
The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Second age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the frozen fields of the Arctic. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.
Born in the fields of never melting ice, the wind blew south and west, out across the frozen nation of Canada. Down it flailed into the province of British Columbia, into the tangled city called Vancouver, and beat against a data center that housed the server for Outpost10f.
The Minas Tirith Wizards will be hosting a weekly d20 system roleplaying game set in the fantasy world of The Wheel of Time. This is the first of what may be several d20 roleplaying games hosted by the Wizards. We're starting with the Wheel of Time game to get an idea of how many people are interested and will be able to make scheduled roleplaying sessions in Minas Tirith.
Since this is going to be a traditional d20 style game space will be limited to the GM +4-6 players. If you're interested in some good old fashioned D&D style gaming then respond in this thread. If there's enough interest then we'll go ahead with the game.

Knowledge of the books isn't necessary. The world provides the backdrop, but there won't be major spoilers for awhile.

Sounds good. When this thread has been up for a bit we'll see about making a mailing list and a time that's appropriate for most everyone.

I have never played a game of dungeons and dragons in my life. I have no idea what the spells are. I am familiar with the d20 system and I figure I'll make a few people laugh with some bizzare spells. I'll try to be there at the agreed upon time but if I'm not it's more than likely due to class obligations.
Summary: Count me in. If I'm not there I'm busy with schoolwork.
