What do you think about having a Cabana week at the outpost, chattop, avatars and weird funky ranks like Bartender, Iron Clad Surfer, and much much more.
Drop your ideas and or opinions here.

Sounds 'different' to say the least but i don't know, it could be cool. Not sure how you'd go about the avatar thing though.

Come to think of it.. I had an assitant.. who was it.. Oh yes.. SG! 
and Babel was the first Bartender but went off chasing de wemuns of the island and got replaced:P

So we would be the ones with the bartender rank:)
but I think it is a good idea... amybe Kim can find her shells again

Not to sound rude or anything to any of you because that isn't my intention! But as a community, i know that sometimes we can APPEAR closed off. Some what... set in our ways? I know i'm not explaining myself very well here. But i am referring to that "in" group... so we should go careful not to exclude others in the process, i think... I hope that makes sense.
Just thinking about it, i can see how some of the less regular peeps may be confused about this and may feel "left out" and as always that is something to avoid.

Dmitri, that's exactly what I was thinking. Only those who are "in" the Cabana would find this to be fun and the rest of us who aren't won't be logging in while it's going on. You'd be excluding a lot of the OTF members.
I'm sure a lot of others would agree with me and while it's a nice idea, I just don't think it would work.

Speaking as someone who doesn't really play in the Cabana, nor considers herself the "in" group, I'm not going to be offended or confused over a Cabana theme.
One way to get around the whole thing is to just do a STARGATE THEME! Yay!

First of all, it's nice to see this thread being used in a creative way to try and find fun things to involve people more. Dmitri got it right though, that as much fun as soe of you have with the Cabana, it's really an isolated place and some people might not enjoy the theme.
I know as a member of the EC, when we try and decide on a non-traditional theme (i.e. Pirates Day) we try and do something that EVERYBODY is going to enjoy; or at least something that thevast majority of OTF are going to enjoy. Stargate would be a much more fesable idea, as would something like Stargate or Battlestar Galactica.
But please, keep the ideas coming, because you peope are the reason we do these kinds of things.

Wow..I go away and look at what happens.
No No Cabana Weeks, the Cabana will remain a forum game only
If you all ever want to have a Beach Week w/ a Luau Theme or something that could be fun..but that's it.
I do not endorse this idea. I don't want people I love who used to come play at the Cabana *looks at Dawn and her old deflated pool toy Micheil* to feel offended or excluded in anyway.
The Cabana will not become part of the official outpost, it will remain elusive and relaxing. No ranks, No nothing..just good times with good friends. That's it
Thanks for thinking of us however....
Now back to the games!
