Mods, please don't move this, I need people to read it and that emans General is the best place for it.
We have two contests . . one for Poetry and one for Writers. Details are on the updates board BUT . . .
Poetry: Romance, cos Valentines is fast approaching. It doesn;t have to be lovey-dovey, it could be about love's dark side too. Or a funny poem. Or whatever tickles your fancy! Come on, a few minutes of your time to show us what you can do.
Writers: Trek fanfic! There are lots of Trek fans at OTF . . . loads of you must have stories, or ideas for stories, of whatever length, doesn't matter . . we WANT them! You have til the end of the month. I'm penning one, I know a few others are too . . . let's see your efforts!

oh ok, Babel has slapped my .....
wrist.
The Guilds relies on the patrons here at OTF to keep us going, we know there is a huge well of talent here and we want to display this. The Guilds is an outlet for your creativity, take advantage of the opportuinty to showcase your work and show us what you've got

Actually I'd love to write. I've never contributed to the Guilds *blush* but I'll get around to it someday...maybe when I leave school *sighs*

Ok, ok! Response to the WG competition has been disappointing so far, I know we have a whole world of talent out there so have a go, you never know, we could have a future Tom Holt or Lance Parkin in our midst.
A few ammendments (yes I know I've probably spelt that wrong) I'm am now willing to accept anything as long as it has a link to Star Trek, however tenuous that link may be.
If there are people who have started something and can't find the time to finish it then email me and let me know (simpsonk83@hotmail.com) and I will look at extending the deadline.
The Guilds needs you to do any good around the Outpost

I've decided to extend the deadline for the WG competition to the 18th of March. That gives people nearly 3 weeks to complete whatever they're working on (for those of you who have told me they have something for me) and also gives opportunity for others to participate.
We need your help to make the WG a success

There have been rumours circulating that non-entry into this competition will cause you to somehow come out in rashes, boils and ants in your pants.
I would like to set the record straight on this.
You will not come out in a rash, nor boils, nor will ants take up residence in your pants (both English meaning and American).
What will happen is that ants will invade your pants, you will get a rash and develop boils.
The only way to stop these ridiculus rumours is to enter!
your friend in time of need (like when there are ants in your pants) Tia xxx
also, Jaq is holding the puppy to ransome. and its a mighty cute puppy....
