Jeremy London and Dina Meyer are each starring in an original movie in production at Sci Fi Channel.
London ("7th Heaven") is starring in "Ba'al," about a rogue Smithsonian archaeologist who will stop at nothing to retrieve the ancient amulets of the storm god Ba'al, which could cure him of his cancer or make him a god.
Meanwhile, Meyer (the "Saw" franchise) and Lochlyn Munro ("Deck the Halls") will star in "Riddles of the Sphinx," the story of a father and daughter who battle a deadly Sphinx as they attempt to decode seven riddles in an effort to save humankind.
Both movies are shooting in and around Vancouver and will air as part of Sci Fi's Saturday night lineup late next year.
Sci Fi also has given the green light to an international spinoff of its reality series "Ghost Hunters." Set to debut in January," Ghost Hunters International" will follow a new team of skeptical paranormal investigators as they travel around Europe and apply their principles of scientific debunking to some of the continent's legendary haunted spots.
