WTF?!  Seems that the entire staff of startrek.com was let go due to restructuring in CBS.
The future of the website is currently up in the air.
There's not really a petition to save it but you CAN send an email to editor@startrek.com and they'll pass it along.
This is just nutty.

That's not really a surprise, actually. It was announced earlier this year, that startrek.com would be closed by the end of the year... and now it's happening.

I can't say I use that site for much these days other than looking up an episode every so oftain.. shame they are closing it but I do see why. I'm sure there are or at least there will soon be some fan sites up which will be equally as good.
The outpost should make one.. well that's assuming they haven't already..

Yea.. there's the new movie site (which I've been going to alot more for every trek news), the Star Trek Wiki has all the history and stuff, plus several other sites.
It's just sad to see startrek.com go. It was the very first website I found when I first logged online 10 years ago.

With startrek.com going and a new movie in the works there could very well be an opportunity for the Outpost to fill the void.

I loved the old Care Bears eps that had a star trek theme with their cloud shaped like the Enterprise. *lol*
