According to the American Psychiatric Association Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader was mentally unstable. Um...they figured this out by analyzing the ORIGINAL films....so it took em 30 years to figure this out??
Gee ASA thanks for stating the fraking obvious. Who the frak decided to analyze Darth Vader's mentality anyways??? Our tax dollars at work...analyzing a sith lord's mental instabilitity.

It's nice to see that some medicals professionals have so much time to spare. I mean it's not like there are enough real people with mental illnes that need help.
Who the frell though that DV was sane in the first place? Then again are we even talking about a real person???!!!!
Just had to rant......

I'd like to have seen an alternative ending where Anakin gets psychiatric help instead of being evil and the awful NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO scene.

Voldemort had abandonment issues. That's why he went bad. It wasn't a god complex. He was just a sad lonely man and was vulnerable to the dark side.

Everyone needs something to do to unwind, so why not analyze a character? If that keeps them sane, and helps them relieve stress.. who are we to say it was a waste of time?

I'm sure that most of the people who did it aren't government employees.

Kind of thought that was a no brainer
and to quote a topical comedy show that used to be one
"in other news - there's still no cure for cancer"

Heh, Dr. Phil was one of the people we watched in one of my social work classes.
Dr. S: And this is what not to do in an interview
[Ten minutes of Doctor Phil]
Another student: I think he called that girl fat!
