Reading Rainbow was a show on PBS that's supposed to show kids that reading is fun. It was hosted by Levar Burton.
And yes, they had a Star Trek episode.

Reading Rainbow was one of the coolest shows for 26 years. It was thru that show that I found out about TNG when they did a behind the scenes ep. LeVar Burton was my main reason to watch TNG back then.

Yeah, it's an extreme shame. I have fond memories of learning a LOT through that show. I watched it long before I got into TNG, however, I was already strongly into TNG when they aired the behind the scenes episode. LeVar does need a break though...26 years! That's how old I am lol
