Joss Whedon will be joining Jon Favreau, Louis Leterrier, Kenneth Branagh, and Joe Johnston in directing one of Marvel's "Avengers" related movies, this one being the actual "Avengers" film.

Yep! Yep! Marvel/Disney's keeping their mouth's shut ATM but Joss is in final negotiations to be the director!

the only way this is going happen is if thor, cap, and there sequels make a lot of money cause iron man has set the bar really high

Dude. The Avengers is happening. Sequels, nothing. After Iron Man 2, Thor, and Cap, we are getting the Avengers.
