Check it out!! Check it out!!! It's Zach Quinto in full Spock make-up!!! Dude!!! Mm... pointy ears look good on him... There are several pics on that site.
Highlight if ya wanna know what's going on in the scene.
The scene the pics are of is on Vulcan. Spock is on trial for some reason in front of the Vulcan council. The scene was filmed at Sky Rose Chapel in Whittier, California.

Eric Bana (Nero) now has a sidekick! Clifton Collins, Jr. has signed on to play Ayel, "the cohort and general to Nero."
Also 24 year old Australian actor Chris Hemsworth has signed on to play George Kirk Sr (father of Capt Kirk).

59 year old actor Ben Cross has been cast as Sarek. About the only thing I've seen him in was Chariot's of Fire. *L*
Recently he's been in Species: The Awakening with Dominic Keating (which is being played constantly on tv...I should watch it), Hannibal with Alexander Siddig, and Grendel with Marina Sirtis.

Winona Ryder as Spock's mother... Spock himself looking awkward... a 24-year-old plays Kirk's father... and no Gary Sinise as Bones.
Man, I'll love that movie.

Bit daft to be writing off this movie more than a year ahead of release, IMO. A little optimism here, folks.

Some new pics are up!! They're filming in Orange County this week and one of the scenes was reportadly a Starfleet academy graduation in some hanger. There's also shots of an Orion slave girl...
Check out the (rather blury) images of Chris Pine as a red shirt James Kirk and an Orion Slave Girl (well...she's green at least).

Casting News:
http://trekmovie.com/2007/12/17/nichols-is-an-orio n-morrison-is-winona-kirk/
Jennifer Morrison (Dr. Cameron on House) has been confirmed as playing James Kirk's mommy, Winona (who's apperantly pregnant in the film).
Rachel "No relation to Nichelle" Nichols (Rachel Gibson on Alies) is playing an Orion. The leaked images of the Orion tho are not her.

After watching "Charlie Wilson's War" today I discovered that Rachel Nichols is truly perfect to play an Orion Slave Girl.... Abrahms probably saw an early copy, watched the belly dancing scene and exclaimed "That's my Orion Slave girl!"...

UGO is reporting that Tyler Perry has been cast as the head of Starfleet Academy (the Dean? )
http://trekmovie.com/2007/12/29/tyler-perry-to-app ear-in-star-trek/
According to the UGO report Perry's big scene is overseeing an assembly at Starfleet Academy where Kirk (Chris Pine) is facing expulsion for cheating on the Kobayashi Maru. Apparently Pine delivers a stirring Kirk-esque speech and then discovers that the person who ratted him out was none other than Spock himself

Meanwhile the first pics have come out of the Enterprise NCC 1701 (no bloody A, B, C, D or E)
She's under construction.

Industrial Light and Magic are doing the effects.

Yay Industrial Lights & Magic - I love you.
Really.
Even if they're Star Wars-ish.
