It clearly says 'April 5th', don't it? I'm not going to take it up with Andrew as anyone can understand how ridiculous it is to flood the board with these individual happy birthday posts. If this somehow sets through to April next year, please remember I already received my happy birthday message through this thread, and am not in need of another one.

It's not a dig at Jadzia, but at the way birthday threads are handled, disregarding who thought up this floody way of going about it. As you said, the forum's hardly packed with fascinating threads, but adding more of the unfascisnating kind is hardly a sollution, isn't it?

Anth: so because you don't think most of the threads are of any quality (and yay for insulting lots of people ) its okay to just flood em?
I didnt want to comment because I knew it wasn't jadzia's decision and didn't want her to feel I was having a go at her. Which I'm not BTW - just to be clear. Perhaps Michiel was amusingly trying to get his point across ( I was amused) and didnt feel an email would be listened to - especially since it IS kinda obvious that its just flooding the board.

Jadzia's absolutely correct. As having one huge birthday thread wasn't working to highlight birthdays I asked her to post threads individually.
Of course, I'm not interested in flooding the board with birthday threads no one bothers to read or respond to. By the looks of it I think we're posting a few too many at the moment.
We'll continue to evaluate and change the birthday thread approach until we have something that isn't intrusive and still provides a pathway to initiate birthday discussions.

Since Michiel's genius has been exposed to all, and is clearly having an adverse effect to the cold air, we'll just move along now that the birthday threads are going to be changed to be less "floody" and easier for the membership to view on a daily basis should they want to. Thanks for the input, whether it be sarcastic, silly, or otherwise...now go frollic with Michiel in your birthday suits so I can bring out the giant b-day cake in which a scantily-clad Robert Griffith will pop out of and sing "Happy Birthday"
