POSSIBLE SPOILERS!

Well, it seems as if 'Enterprise' will now be known as 'Star Trek Enterprise', as UPN, Paramount, and the producers have decided on one of many changes to be seen by the viewing public beginning Wednesday, September 10th.

From Trek Today:

On the cusp of the premiere of the show's third season, UPN has finally put Star Trek in front of Enterprise in the series' title.

While StarTrek.com is still calling the show Enterprise, UPN has changed its logos on both the main and series pages of its web site to reflect the change.

TrekWeb reported that the network also sent a memo to its affiliates, signed by Kathie Kiefner, manager of communications and operations for CBS and UPN affiliate relations.

The memo announces a revision to the name, asking stations to note "the following new title for the 2003/2004 season: STAR TREK ENTERPRISE."

The name appears as Star Trek Enterprise, without the colon used by the network to refer to Star Trek: Voyager.

Fans have speculated for weeks that such a name change might be imminent after the words "Star Trek" began appearing in summer advertisements and trailers.

The show's third season begins tomorrow night at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, when UPN will air "The Xindi."

Another change to be seen beginning September 10th is the addition of "MACOs", a marine-based group accompanying Enterprise on their hunt for the Xindi. Below is another article from Trek Today detailing an interview done for the Greenwich Time by Julia Rose, one of the young actresses to take on the role of a MACO.

From Trek Today:

"Look low, come in high, always make yourself a different type of target," said actress Julia Rose of her strategy for fighting Xindi as a Military Assault Command Operation officer on Enterprise this season.

"I'm supposed to be a tough, Navy SEAL chick," said the actress who plays MACO McKenzie to Greenwich Time in her hometown of Greenwich, Connecticut. Rose is expected to make her first appearance in the season's second episode, "Anomaly", on September 17th.

In character, Rose will will wear her hair "parted on the side and slicked back into a funky little bun," she said; "I'm a tough girl, gotta keep the hair off the face."

She also wears a spacesuit labeled "Swank" inside. "At first I thought, 'Nice, I got the swanky one'", but later she learned that the suit had been worn by Hilary Swank in the film The Core.

Paramount's Melissa Gieringer said that generally about 40 people are called in to audition after being selected from thousands of head shots, and Rose expressed pride in having been approved by casting director Ron Surma.

Among her tasks thus far have been envisioning floating corpses not yet added by special effects teams and "shooting" at stuntmen flying by on wires to give the actors something to aim at.

Rose called working with Scott Bakula a highlight of her experience on the show, for she had watched Quantum Leap and considered him "the dad on set" of Enterprise.
