Hey,
Feel free to delete this one but I was thinking that maybe a thread about Hoax virus worms might be good.
I just had a friend who was convinced that she had sent me a worm, despite the fact that I told her I had no e-mails from her or for that matter any spoofed ones.
Turns out that it was a big hoax!

Keep this thread open definitely. I haven't had one in a while but I used to get quite a few "you may have a virus check if you have this file and delete it!" emails.
It also never hurts to check with snopes.com http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/virus.htm

You can generally check with any of the Major Anti Virus Vendors, they all have databases of Viruses and Hoaxes that you can access via their web sites
