TYVM to Nobbe for creating this topic for me, and now, on to buisness. The 2004 California(hence on refered to Cali) Union was small, but fun. The pea girl(Jen/Sidne) ended with peas in her drink, I (Zech/Voyman) was almost thrown out of a moving car(many times) by Liz(Smile), TaCHyoN(Mathew) dyed his hair Steel blue, and Rictor(Joe) just randomly fell on the ground. Shadow was sadly unable to make it at the last moment, and Andrew(yes, THE Andrew said if I gave him enough notice for the '05 union, he might make it.
So. This is the notice for the 2005 California Union. I'm thinking of having it in August, as that's a good time for Cali. Location ideas? San Francisco, Reno, Vegas. Please, let me know of location ideas so somewhere can be chosen, and I can get info to those who need it.
More information to come.
Toodles.

You're going to keep reminding me about those peas for the rest of my life, aren't you?
Yes, August is a great month in Cali There's some great stuff to do in San Fransisco and the surrounding areas, too. So, that's my suggestion, but I'm totally not picky at all.

I refuse to go farther south than San Fran. =P
Actually, I'd like to do a bit of backpacking in the more northern areas.. not that this has anything to do with a union. Okay, I'm done talking now. =)

The weeks of Sept 17/18 or 25/26? Mind you, we'll be pusing into worse weather in SF with these dates. And as you're coming from across the pond, we can be a bit flexible.

I'll try and plan my trip around the second set of dates, which will be Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September 2005!
I'll be visiting places before and after these dates as well!
By the way I haven't booked it yet, but this is roughly the time that I'm planning to visit!

Been to Las Vegas and Los Angels, so San Francisco sounds perfect.
I have to check my finances, but hope to go.
Sites to see? I only know the golden gate bridge. Plus I don't think the Halliwell residence (Charmed) is actually in San.
why don't you make a list up of attractions for us to choose.
The one thing I do/don't really want to experience is an earthquake (don't get them here in UK...well, not strong enough to register).
I need to know ASAP on official date so I know how much to save per month.

I'll probably come...it all depends on my money situation and if I can get the time off from any future bosses. Im like planning my vacation next year a year in advance. I can't go to Utah as I've got school. I graduate from College in July tho so September would be perfect. I've only been to California once and that was just driving thru last June. *L*
That Exploritorium sounds a heck of alot like the Seattle. Pacific Science Center.
It would have been cooler to have a Union in Seattle. Would give me an excuse to visit the Sci-fi Museum/Hall of Fame. *lol* Ah Seattle....home of the Space Needle and Captain Kirk's Chair! Oh and Moya and C-3PO and R2D2 and....
My only issue is when the next Gathering is gonna be. The Gathering is the annual Gargoyles con and I just found out it's gonna be in Vegas next year. I haven't been to one and I'd really love to meet some of the VA's from that show. Hrm... choices choices.

The overwhelming majority is for the 24th/25th of September. This is now being locked in stone because we have peeps coming in from across the pond, and they have to plan far in advance. So this is what I propose.
I plan to be in SF from the 23rd (Friday) through the 26th (Monday). This spans most of the time people will be there. If you want to arrive early, cool, stay late, awsome. The two days I expect the most people there will be the 24th (Sat) and 25th (Sun).
Ideas, comments, etc?
Lzr: Contact Matt about the pics, I believe he has a copy of all of them uploaded somewhere.
