I'd love to be a women.  You lot have such a sweet deal.  You can wrap men around your little fingers, all the *ahem* you want, you can wear what you want at work, you can get away with anything just by showing a little cleevage and fluttering your eyebrows and all of this without talking about the advantages you have over men in the bedroom *looks* I think I can say that.

Yes, I would love to be a women, but one that "likes" other women ofcourse :k

I'd prefer to stay a man. Women are great!... but I don't think I'd appreciate them, in the same way, if I were one. :D

Pregnancy? Well, no periods for 9 months. If only that were possible without the actual "having a baby" part....

Mark, with an attitude like that it's a wonder your wife hasn't thrown you out. :P You have opened a Pandora's Box here, and hell hath no fury like a woman scorned... :k

There is a urologist in Austin called Dr. Dick Chopp (seriously) that can make your dream of becoming a woman a reality if you desire. All you need is the airfare and I'm sure he'll cut you a good deal. :D

Maybe because if he called himself Richard, there would be even more jokes - this way it's like,  frontal attack "let's get the jokes over with" style?

Anyway, maybe we should start a poll - how many men would like / could imagine being women, and vice versa? ;)

Far be it for me to stick my neck out end endure the wrath of those who assume my arguments are those of a chauvanist pig, but...

Whenever this strage agument about which gender has things better off comes up I usually hear women make two major arguments to support their cause: the menstural cycle and childbirth.

I have no misconceptions about how excruciatingly painful childbirth is. However, women parents will have a bond with their children that fathers can never have. Motherhood IS a beautiful thing, and I for one am jealous that I will never experience it.

Just my two cents. :P

Sonata,

I think it's important to seperate sex and gender. Sex being our biological differences and gender being socially constructed. Gender does not deal with the functions of our bodies but rather with thoughts/emotions etc.

Anyway, I agree that being able to give birth to children is quite awesome. Personally I wouldn't want to be without that ever.

I personally don't think it's worse or better to be one or the other.  Each gender has it's role in life.

Like I said, I wouldn't want to be a guy based alone on what us women do to them.  The only reason I'd want to be a guy is to escape the pressure of having to look a certain way.  I am not some tall thin wavy haired super model knock out.  I'm short, I got pudge, I have plain weird silvery blonde hair that I can't do a thing with so it lays limp on my head or sticks straight up when I don't want it to.  I wear glasses and I have zits.  I don't flaunt anything, I hate to wear shorts if they come higher than the knee (actually I wear jeans 99% of the time anyway), and I wear t-shirts with a high collar and go down to my elbows.  I haven't worn a tank top since I was 11.  When I go swimming I wear a bathingsuit, a t-shirt and shorts.  And there are days when I hate myself based soley on my looks.  The world around me tells me I'm ugly because I don't look like a super model.  I hate that pressure, and I can pretend it doesn't bother me but sometimes it really does.

And I know guys do have some pressure on them for looks, I'm not denying that.  But the pressure on girls tends to be far stronger and more public.

That's the only reason I don't want to be a girl.

Amen to that :D

I'm not perfect looking either and usually don't bother that much with make-up and such. People will have to take me for who I am. And if they don't want to that's their problem, not mine.
