Ladies and Gentlemen,
'Tis I! Captain Nobbe. As promised, I'm planning a union in London, Ontario, Canada. Summer - 2006. Interested parties should sign their name here. I will be posting activites and accomodation options shortly. Ideally, we could arrange for a group price at one of the hotels.

London'd be cool. We just spent fourth (first) of July weekend in St. Catharines... (and we live in NC) do you have any idea when in the summer this'd be?
Though of course it's possible no one even remembers us, in which case we'd be superfluous. And no, I don't have delusions of royalty....my husband'd be coming with me. (Alexis).

For you guys, yeah. Fourth of July weekend for us down thissaway. Seemed to be a very BUSY time this year, at least. (on both sides of the border)

Greetings!
I need to get a rough guess of numbers of people who may need accomodations whilst here in London so I know how many rooms to ask for to get a group rate!
Please sign below if interested - or e-mail me.
This is *not* written in stone, so even if there is the slightest CHANCE of you coming, I would like it. Also, if you were coming would you be willing to share a room with some people - I would like to know that information too.

Not fare that you locked my Toronto Thread Nobbe. I would still like to hold a 2006 Toronto Union, if people would like to come. I was also trying to start a new Toronto Thread, since you locked my old one, but the system would not let me. This is not very nice. I know you will delete this message, since it has nothing to do with the London Union, but I had to say my peace, and just wish you people would be nice to me. I am nice if you met me in person. Just ask those who met me at the 1999 Las Vegas OTF Union. Dierna was my roommate, and can tell you all about me. Just ask her. Even ask Andrew Maxwell about me, he was there. Toronto can be fun, if you know where to go and what to do. Most of the places you can get to by subway and local transit. I don't drive, so I could not tell anyone how to get to places by car. You people need to treat your elders nicely. I bet I could be some of your mothers. I am 42 and most of you sound alot younger than that. I would like to talk about the Toronto Union on the discussion forum. I know nobody will talk to me about it in private, or email me.. Maybe I need to start a new thread on it in the regular forum, since you won't let me start it here. This is not allowed, but what choice do I have here? I am given no choice. I will see what happens. If nothing, I will start a thread there, and hope I get some responses. I am just like the rest of you people. Like I said, just give me half a chance. If I have the union, I would also have to start saving my money, just like the rest of you. I am no different. So why don't we start talking about a Toronto Union, if I will be able to make a new thread, or if the old thread will be reopened. I am not here to bash anyone, but as the saying goes, "TREAT PEOPLE HOW YOU YOURSELF WANT TO BE TREATED". This is a good quote. My union could only be for a weekend anyway. A Sat. and Sun. But others could come sooner and start to do things, if we talked about it.Well I have had my say. Now lets see what happens.

Your thread was closed because it degenerated into something other than planning a union. It, or so it seemed to me, was you giving out about people not giving you a chance or being mean or generally you giving out.
Respect has to be earned, KJR. Even if you are older than me.

I'm about to slam you. So sit down. You have no right to storm into a forum like this and highjack a thread...APPARANTLY we've made it for (as you say 8 years) abundently clear that there is no interest in a Toronto Union. I'd not go to that city now if someone offered me free airfare, cause quite honestly your just pissing me off.
However if you want to beg, brow beat and throw tantrums trying to get your own way please do it in your own thread.
I will delete any furthur posts you put on the London Ontario thread. You've now been warned.

Honey, I'm not even going to go there with you on this issue. E-mail me [nobbe@outpost10f.com] if you have a problem with the way that I handle things. Please do not flame my thread. Furthermore, since you've been around the Outpost long enough, you should know that the Unions, Meetings and Gatherings forum is moderated. This means you have to get someone who is an Administrator or a Moderator to open a new thread for you.
If you want to come to my Union, please be my guest. Bus fare from Toronto <> London is only 44.00 dollars if you get a refundable ticket. Come for the day and stop your complaining. Furthermore, I will not tolerate further derailment of this thread. Problems, flames, etc... will go into the trash bin. Have a great day.

Hi all and apologies in advance for "hijacking" this thread, thats not my intention at all....
And before the move topic monster moves this elsewhere, this does fall under "planning of the union"
As one would hope people were informed of possible clashes before hand no?
I do feel I need to bring this up now to avoid any future "clashes"
Brady said he's there till the end of april...
I would just like to point out that the first half of april is the OTF fan film project in LONDON ENGLAND If you could favour the second half of April that would be most appreciated... thats only 4 days to avoid booking if you could be so kind -s- 7th-10th April.... if you put three days before and after it clear too, that ensures that people have the oppurtunity to attend both, even if they don't have the finiancial means.... they still have the oppurtunity..It also gives brits who are involved in this project the oppurtunity to travel too, should they wish....
I am sure you are all fully aware being fans of film the level of planning that goes into these things, the April Shoot has been meticulously worked out....I'd rather a union did'nt upset the apple cart and get us wasting precious pre production time rescheduling....
so please, if you could favour the later half of april I'd be much obliged.
Brady would still be there.... and our shoot would be pretty much unaffected-s-

The Film shoot is happening in the real London in England.
You know, The one they talk about on the news all the time, the one they are talking about when they include it with other fashionable cities.. i.e "London, Paris, New York"
The Union is happening in faux London in canada, thats the pretend London, that does not have big ben, tower bridge and all that history.
7th thru 10th April London ENGLAND =Film Shoot

Well, April is not really summer *lol* but if work is slow i am sure i could find a way to sneak over to london, Ontario. that's of course if i am welcomed for this little gathering and partying
