I've decided to talk about a friend. Only not to talk about her behind her back, but to talk about her right out in plain sight where she has to endure.
I wonder do you all know her? I mean REALLY know her? You do? Then tell me some unusual facts about her...anything.
I'll even start...Teeks used to be Lal. She also used to be Tail-Kinker. She is one of my oldest and dearest friends (ever). For YEARS we had the opportunity to be on ICQ with each other every morning (my time afternoon hers) over that time, we got to know alot about each other.
We can't sleep in the same room..why? Cause we don't sleep...we stay up talking ALLLLL night long. Ask J and Craig, I think once they could sort of hear us, as we had adjoining rooms. I still wonder why we never did the where in the world is the sock game.
Anyway, on a planet far far away, my friend Teek sorta disappeared. Now I think she's reappearing. I can't begin to tell you how much it makes me smile everytime I see her name on a post on the forums. Having her around, almost makes OTF feel like home again. Not that my "newer" friends aren't special..but c'mon when one has been apart of your life for almost every life changing event, that tends to make them a tad more special.
So as another smart ass on the forums has pointed out, a topic can be topicless..this one has a topic. It's the Ode To Teeks thread.
Go on...post away, share some little known facts. Tell her you love her. Beg her not to leave us again!
Teeks...I love you my friend! Welcome back ...you were missed more than you may ever know!

I happen to have read Uhura's Song and it is in fact one of my favorite Trek books of all time. 'tis where Tail-Kinker's name comes from, and Evan Wilson seems to me to be the perfect picture of our Sus. A quarter staff toting doctor with a firey attitude and a quick wit to boot. And she's short. I'd have taken the name if Teek didn't snatch it up first.
Teek is also very adorable. And for some odd reason, she likes people like me. Go figure.

Teekay is, in fact, a fellow Time Lord. (WE don't like the term Time Lady - it just sounds preposterous.) Like me, she graduated from the Prydon College on Gallifrey. Unlike me, though, who just barely scraped though my exams with 51%, she qualified with a triple first. But, pah, academia was never my forte - now my TARDIS, that's definitely my (type) forte!
When Sus ( or to give her her full name, Susadvoratreludar, or Fred for short) began to adventure with me she looked down at me, because of my inferior qualifications, bohemian lifestyle and scsttergun approach to problem-solving. But she was slowly brought round to my way of seeing things.
Or am I getting utterly confused with something else entirely? H'mm . . . .

Awww.. TK. How we all have missed you so. You were the first person I ever 'cyber-danced' with. I can't recall the logistical mechanics of it all, but I'm sure it was wonderful. I also recall some secret plot whereby we orchestrated our own publicly private affair..  I'll have to dig up that series of emails.

Teeks is only someone I met recently but I think she's great. She's a thoroughly lovely person and has quickly become my partner in crime when picking on Jeremy.
Oh, and she made me a fantastic piture of a puma wearing a hat

I remember first stalking Teeks at Pages, many many years ago (before the Ice Age, when Robert Beltran was still H-A-W-T). After describing what she was wearing that day to her in TF, my house has been staked out by German Intelligence services and purple hobbits ever since.

Susanne is infectiously kind, a great conversationalist, a steadfast friend, a would-be drinking buddy, an imaginative writer and a good laugh!
I'm looking forward to the time when I can grab my sweetheart and go bug her on her home turf.

hmm,
I dunno if I know any secrets stuff about Teeks, other than the fact that in the chats she is a lot of fun.
Having listened to the band she is by downloading some of thier stuff from the web I can say she plays in an amazing band worth listening too.
Of course me and my bad memory forgot the bands name, ask Teeks then go and listen!!!
Hmm teeks if you read this could you post a link to your bands homepage please!

I know no secrets about Teek...nope, not a one.
Okay, maybe I'll just state the obvious and just say how great she is.
Well, she is my "Little German Strudel of Love", loves chocolate, cooking, music, literature, fantasy/sci-fi, wearing assless leather chaps....ermmm.
We have had many adventures at OTF and other online realms over the years. She is cute. Be sure to tell her that.
Yes, we're all mad...and you wouldn't want us any other way.

Heh, then you'd be the butt of all of those Rear Admiral jokes.
All of those folks digging at the bottom of the pun barrel just to get a laugh. They would get you all worked up like a dog that is forced to chase it's tail, only to get dizzy and fall on it's hindquarters.
But, I'm all for giving you a kick in the rear...admiral.
I may as well preemtively strike back by saying that I love those auburn locks of yours. There, no more secret! Oh, such a burden has been lifted now that I've gotten that out in the open.

Jeremy is very hairy! CT likes Jeremy's hair (ALL OF IT) CT has been seen shaving Jeremy's legs and then glueing the hair to his feet to run barefoot in the wood....and Frodo needed Yak hair...Yak's got nothing on Jeremy.
But I digress....TeeKay is da Cuteadore!! We love you!! She does not look like a Yak!! She's not even hairy.....

Yes, I knew Sus once upon a time! We shared a cup of tea on the top floor of the famous tree-house.. Ahh, those were the days indeed..
*l* I could tell you some secrets about TK, but then I'd have to run and hide for the rest of my life because there is nothing worse than feeling a woman's wrath, especially Sus'..
In fact where the heck has Sus been lately? Have ye forgotten me already?

Teek is awesome and cool and nice and I still have the Yo Yo she gave me at the OTF Union in Vegas (she braught YoYo's for everybody! ) or was that a Spin Top? *thinks* Might have been a spin top...twas a long time ago that Vegas Union...my mind aint as sharp as it once was.

Nicoll is obviously obsessed with us, seeing how I didn't say this thread in particular had been derailed with our love scandal, all I said was intrustions (in general) and love scandals derail threads and some people refuse to let them go.
